Oh my... that was so beautifully written Soup... Zoya's POV...
When I was reading this I could really visualise Zoya saying it... thats the power of your writing... 👏
As a mother I feel Dilshad should have talked to Asad and there is no easy way out here...
As a woman I understand Dilshad state, infact even Najma has understood her ammi's loneliness and went to call her abbu for the nikaah...same way Zoya will understand Dilshad as a woman...

And yes like u said.. Forgiveness cannot be earned it can only be given 🤗

sumi m quite ok wid d fact ki zoya ll support dil ...although i want her to stand by asad ...understand his pt of view comfort him n console him ...i cumptly understand d fact ki asad ll b spared frm d fire inside him only if he forgives rashid ...n rashid has asked for forgiveness many tyms ...but he has nt done anything to deserve it ...he dint tell asad ki razia tried to murder dil ...he dint even utter a word wen dil was kald daayan ...he was a silent spectator wen asad was cursed to a lifetime misery ...n dere r many such occasions ...

i agree rashid cud do nth to erase painful memories of last 17 years but he cud ve tried at least to give him sum new memories ...

well put. my thoughts exactly. every one has a right to be given a chance to repent. even rashed does. afterall we r all human beings and we are bound to make mistakes and blunders all knowingly or unknowingly, but if someone wants to put things right, he should be given a chance.

This has taken the the calibre of the forum to a whole new level. Soup, are you an inspirational speaker or something? I remember my dearest mother, who passed four years ago.

Now that is some great perspective.

Sadly though, the way things are messed up right now, it looks like Dilu and Zoya are being idealistic and Asad is being realistic. Because if there had really been repentance, this living together bit would have been gradually spaced out.

I wish reality was more in tune with Zoyas letter. I really do. And i wish that at the very least, after this letter, Asad does not feel so abandoned.

Oh sure he has been long suffering due to lack of love but he has been busy screwing and making babies. Doesn't seem like a man deprived of love.

If a man was suffering due to lost of his love he won't be able to go around making babies with another woman.

Look at Asad when he lost Zoya and had Tannu at his disposal, he could not even look at her let alone touch her.

How can Asad forgive him when he did not take inconsideration of Asad's feelings before asking Dilshad to move in with him. He could have at least redeemed himself and called everyone from SM and KV and made the announcement that he wronged Dilshad and his kids 17 years ago and now wants to make things right. He did it privately. Does he have something to hide?? Is he afraid the society and People of SM and KV will hate him??

Whats gonna happen now when Dilshad goes to SM and he is not around people like Razia and Gaffur are gonna say dillu ne dore mare Rashid ke uppar. This will be because the did not hear it from the horses mouth that he wants her back.

Zoya needs to grow up herself before she gives her POV.

The letter was beautifully written but I'm afraid I cannot agree with its sentiment that Rashid should be forgiven.

Where was Rashid's love for Dil when he chose money and status over his wife and children, he forgot that he also has a responsibility towards his first family, he never once looked for out them in 17 years until an accidental meeting, instead he chose his 2nd family whom he showered with love,

Dilshad and the kids were left in poverty and Asad as boy had to assume a man's role to provide for his baby sister and mother.

Rashid has always been weak man, he was never tried to protect Dilshad from insults nor has he made any proper reparations towards Najma or Asad, instead he approaches the 2 women who love him blindly and are unable to see his faults, how can Dilshad want to live in SM and play happy families with Shireen????

How will Rashid deal with his son's backlash in regards to their mother's feelings? He will manipulate Dil and Shir into dealing with Asad and Ayaan to get them to accept the situation.

Ultimately I think Rashid doesn't love Dil or Shir, he loves himself, he has felt his own mortality and wants to be taken care of. Dilshad gives Rashid respect which he doesnt get from Shireen's family.

There is a saying of forgive but don't forget, Rashid has been more of a disappointment as a husband and father throughout most of dilshad marriage what makes her so adamant that Rashid has changed that she is willing to turn her back on the only man who has supported her when all others turned their backs. Forgive Rashid divorce the shit and find a man who will love and support her.

Zoya will frustrate me if she blindly supports Rashid and Dilshad, she needs to understand her man and what he is feeling. Zoya as yet is still unaware of who her father is but would she really be so forving if her mother was alive and being taunted and humiliated by her fathers family, Zoya needs to wear Asad shoes to truly understand his objections and hurt regarding the sperm donor who gave him life. I really hope she doesn't pay lip service to Asad about understanding but plotting on how to bring him and Rashid closer.

I agree that Forgiveness can make things easier for everybody but..

When did Rashid ever apologize to Asad? (or I might have forgotten that bit 😆)

Dilshad seems to have forgiven Rashid for the hurt he caused to her as well as to her children. But for Asad who saw what his mother went through, who kept waiting for his father to come to help them like he kept hoping for a gift on his birthday (until he finally concluded that he doesn't have a father), its the hardest thing to do.

It would be easier if he comes to know the circumstances in which Rashid left. But at this moment all he knows is that Rashid was unfaithful, left, took his brother with him and never looked back. He gave the best things to his other family when Asad's family was trying to make ends meet.

Then 17 years later when Rashid entered their lives again, Dilshad had to face many situations where she was name-called and insulted for no fault of hers. Then she was shot by this man because she came to know of a crime he committed years ago. It was murder.

Asad still hasn't realized the truth about that. It maybe possible to forgive the father who took away his brother and childhood along with him but How can he possibly forgive the man who hurt his mother time and again?

And now when Dilshad has decided to move in with him how can he possibly let her when he doesn't even know the reason?

This is why I feel that this decision was communicated to him in a wrong way.

Zoya's life has been different.. IMO even she would find it hard to forgive Ghafoor without even knowing about his hand in Zainab's death.
