CHAPTER TWENTY FOUR :
'Why is he here ?' Asad asked her.
'I don't know, go and ask him.' Dilshad wasn't interested too. She just came to tell him that he is here.
'But I don't want to meet him, just tell him that I am not home.' Asad said annoyingly.
'I said that already but he said that he saw your car outside.' Dilshad told him.
'But. . .' He was getting frustrated now.
'Asad, just go and meet him. Maybe its important.' Zoya interrupted for the first time.
'Its not. I know him very well.' Asad said while looking at her.
'But he is not going without meeting you.' Dilshad said. Asad took a deep breath and thought for a while.
'I am coming.' Asad said to her.
'Ok.' Dilshad smiled at him and walked out.
'Asad, I know that your name means lion and I have seen that in you already many times.' Zoya started giving him advice and he looked at her. 'But I don't want to see it right now so better behave.' Zoya gulped as he was staring at her.
'I don't need your advice.' Asad said in serious tone. Zoya looked at him in disbelief.
'Allah Miyaan ! What's wrong with you Asad ? You are back to your akdu mode again. Just do as I say.' She shouted at him and he rubbed his forehead.
'Ok. Can I go now ?' He asked her.
'Yes, I am coming in ten minutes but that doesn't mean that you can do anything you want. Just keep yourself calm and normal. I don't want to hear your roar from here.' Zoya started again and he smiled.
'Are you done ?' He asked her again.
'Yes.' She thought for a moment and said. 'Listen !' She stopped him in the midway again. He turned back.
'Say ?' He asked her.
'Don't leave for office, wait for me to come.' She said with her dimpled smile.
'Ok.' He said and opened the door.
'Wait !' She stopped him again. He turned back and looked at her in disbelief.
'Now what ?' He glared at her.
'I don't want you to roar even.' She said in stern tone ignorring his eyes.
'I will try my best.' He said with a smile and closed the door behind her before she could say anything else.
I wish nothing goes wrong. She wished and walked to the bathroom.

He came out and saw him sitting in the living room while drinking tea. His anger boiled up as soon as he saw him but he tried to control himself.
'Assalam O Alaikum !' Rashid said to him.
'Walekum Salam !' Asad said and sat on the couch infront of him with Dilshad.
'Why are you here ?' Asad came to the point.
'I came to congratualate you both, you didn't even tell me. Najma told me last night.' Rashid said to him with a smile. Asad couldn't see any guilt on his face.
'Thank you.' Asad tried to finish the conversation. Rashid looked at him understanding that he wasn't happy to see him here.
'Where is Zoya ?' Rashid asked him.
'Look, I know that you are not here to congratualate or enjoy any family moment. So just come to the point.' Asad couldn't control anymore and said in stern tone. Dilshad kept her hand on his hand to stop his anger. She was sure that Rashid was here to apologize.
'Asad ! Calm down.' Dilshad said in low voice but Rashid heard her already.
'Why are you stopping him ? You are the one who taught him all this.' Rashid said while looking at her. Dilshad looked at him in disbelief.
'Don't you dare ! Don't you dare say anything to her. I won't tolerate a single word regarding her. Whatever I am saying is only because of you, its my bad luck that I am your son.' Asad said angrilly. His anger was boiling up again. Somewhere inside he wanted Rashid to behave good too this time but he can never expect good from him.
'Why shouldn't I ? You were always good to me before you started meeting her.' Rashid said to him while Zoya came out of the room and heard a little bit of there conversation.
'I wasn't good, I was just controlling myself but now I cannot control myself anymore.' He said angrilly while Zoya sat on the couch in a corner quietly.
'I don't want to talk about past, I just want you to come back with me to London.' Rashid said finally and Zoya looked at Asad's shocked face.
'Why would I come there ? I told you my decision already months back.' Asad said in disbelief state. He understood why he was here and why he wanted to take him back but was still hoping to see any positive reason other than what he was thinking.
'I don't care about your decision, I need you there, only you can help me in this situation.' Rashid said to him. Asad fake smiled as he was sure now that he is here for his needs. His eyes were wet as he never wanted to see his father being so cheap.
'I don't want to marry her, I am married now I hope you have noticed that.' Asad said in stern tone after a while controlling his anger. Zoya was dumbstruck as he said that. Now she understood why he was here. She looked at Dilshad who was also shocked.
'I don't care about your marriage. I have many other things to care about. Look ! I will give you whatever you want, just come with me for few months and you can come back here after that and stay here forever.' Rashid said to him and smiled with hope that he will agree to this deal. Zoya looked at him with wet eyes, she never expected this from him. He was always like a father figure for her. Asad looked at Zoya. He wasn't shocked to hear that from Rashid because he had expected this already but Zoya was new to this and he didn't want to see her sad.
'Zoya ! Just go inside.' Asad said to her and she looked at him.
'I won't.' She said and blinked twice to control her tears. Rashid noticed her for the first time and looked back at Asad who was looking at her angrilly but she ignorred his eyes and looked down.
'Asad ! I don't have time for all this. Just go and pack your bags.' Rashid said to him and Zoya looked at Asad with her eyes wide open while Dilshad was quiet all this while. She knew Asad would handle this situation in better way. Asad stood up.
'I have told you my decision already, now you can leave because I am getting late. I am not interested in your foolish deals.' Asad said.
'Asad ! My business is stuck in her father's hands. I have to clear so many debts, it will be destroyed, I am coverring up from your side from so many weeks now only you can save me.' Rashid stood up and said politely. Asad never saw him talking politely but he ignorred his tone and told his decison.
'I can't help you in this case. If you want then you can marry her, it won't affect me anymore.' Asad said and smiled sarcastically.
'Asad ! Don't cross your limits. Why don't you understand my point ? She loves you and wants to marry you.' Rashid was getting frustrated now.
'Uncle ! Do you have any idea what you are saying ?' Zoya interrupted them for the first time. All of them looked at her.
'I am talking to my son, I don't want any interference.' Rashid said to her in stern tone. Asad was going to answer him but Zoya answerred him again.
'Your son is my husband and you are talking about his second marriage and you want me to not interfere.' Zoya said in disbelief. 'I can't stay quiet, I respect you but I want you to know that I won't let you hurt him anymore.' She said with a sad sigh.
'Zoya, I am just tolerating you because your father is my good friend. Don't make me lose my temper.' Rashid said to her angrilly.
'This is enough !' Asad said to him. 'I won't let you insult my wife at any cost, just get lost from here right now.' Asad shouted as he couldn't control anymore.
'Now you will fight with me because of a girl ?' Rashid was shocked. 'You can get a better girl than this if you just follow my decisions.' Rashid tried to convince him again.
'Stop it right there. I can expect anything from you but I don't want you to come up to my expectations every time.' He was burning with anger now. His words were really hurting him.
'Asad ! You are not understanding anything what I want to say.' Rashid tried again.
'I don't want to. Now will you leave ?' Asad said in the same tone.
'I am leaving but you have to come to meet me. I am here for few more days.' Rashid said to him.
'Just leave !' Asad was getting frustrated now. Rashid looked at him and walked out of the house.
'Asad ! Just forget whatever he said.' Dilshad said to him while Zoya was quiet still. He looked at Zoya who was already looking at him and walked out of the house.
'Asad ! Where are you going ?' Zoya followed him and asked. He stopped.
'I have a meeting to catch, I am already late.' He said without turning back.
'No, you are not going anywhere.' Zoya said while coming near him.
'Zoya, please leave me alone for some time.' Asad said while looking at her.
'I won't.' She said while holding his hand.
'I am fine, I don't need anyone right now. I will be back soon, just take care of yourself.' He said while looking away and walked out before she could stop him.
She saw him taking out the car from the main gate. He wasn't looking at her and was lost in his thoughts.
'Why is he driving so fast ?' Zoya was getting worried as soon as she saw him driving fast.
She came back inside and took out her phone from the pocket and started dialing his number but he wasn't picking up. She kept dialing his number but after 15 minutes it was switched off.
She dialed his office number after an hour and the receptionist picked it up.
'Its me Zoya, connect my call to Asad.' Zoya said as soon as she picked up.
'Ma'am he is in a meeting, we are not allowed to disturb him.' She said to her.
'Are you sure he is in the meeting ?' Zoya asked her and bit her lower lip. Receptionist got confused and was quiet for a moment.
'I haven't seen Sir today so I am not sure because I was just told by Prasad his secretary that he is in a meeting.' She told him and Zoya got more worried.
'Can you connect me to Prasad ?' Zoya asked her sheepishly.
'He is also with him in the meeting.' She said.
'Ok. Tell Asad to call me as soon as he is done.' Zoya said to her.
She waited for his call whole day but he didn't call her. I hope he is fine. She wished for the umpteenth time and dialed his number again. It wasn't switched off anymore, she started as soon as she heard his voice.
'Where the hell were you all this time ?' She asked him angrilly but felt relieved after hearing his voice.
'Zoya, I was busy, I told you already.' He said in serious tone.
'But you got my message that I want you to call me when you are free, didn't you ?' She asked him and he was quiet.
'I was busy.' Asad said after a while. She took a deep breath and controlled her anger.
'When will you come home ?' She asked him.
'I have some more work to do, I will be late.' He said in the same tone.
'Mr Asad Ahmed Khan ! its already 10 so I won't tolerate all this nonsense.' She said to him in stern tone.
'Zoya ! I. . . . .' Asad was going to say something when she interrupted.
'You have got half an hour, I want to see you here very soon.' Zoya said and disconnected the call before he could say anything. She waited for him next 15 minutes and went to take shower to control her anger.
She came out of the washroom and saw him standing near his wardrobe. She looked at him he looked serious and was busy finding something.
'What are you looking for ?' She asked him.
'Nothing special.' He said and was still busy searching. She looked at his face and walked to the drawer, threw the towel on the bed and took out something and came near him.
'You are looking for this right ?' She asked him and stretched her hand infront of him. He turned back.
