The first quoted conversation - Started out with me making a general observation about the state of affairs on the forum. Since things are crazy I said that the mods are busy. It was an inference not mocking. To this Shona esponded that we are responsible for the award and laughed. Again as I see it (and knowing Shona I think I am correct in saying) the laughter was a joke about the kind of hard work you are unfortunately being forced to do today with relation to the Hardworking award you guys got (congrats on that BTW). I highly doubt she meant it as an insult to you guys.

The second quoted conversation and the versions there of - A friend of mine who was active on a controversial thread that was recently closed says that she got a PM and disappeared for a few hours. Now as a friend and an older sister, I was genuinely worried about her. I did not know that worrying about a friend is against IF rules and so is checking on her well being. I don't have her on FB (for personal reasons) so I asked others who do. I never inquired about any other member's WL. That was information voluntarily provided by another member who happens to be close to Jazz and was again genuinely concerned and relieved for her. It was in no way making fun of Mods or their work. Can you please tell me why is it wrong to care for the friends we made here? And if that is the case, then maybe this is not the place for me since I thought this was a place to make friends with like minded people

now last but not the least - My comment of relief on Jazz WL and her thread. I did enjoy the sarcasm in her topic. I am talking about her topic and not all the comments on the thread. Maybe it was not in good taste from the DT point of view, but I was expressing my POV. How am I wrong? Or are we to only express what is politically correct or Mod approved? The joke about defense council. A lot of us love to watch crime dramas here...its a term thrown around everywhere. I just used it to help my friends relax from worrying about me getting a warning. Lighten the situation. If it hurts your feelings, I am sorry.

This is a CC and so I thought some amount of chit chat (as the name suggests) was allowed. I don't know why you felt we were mocking you, but we were not. I am not sorry for the misinterpretation. If someone reported these, and suggested we were mocking, the problem is with their thinking.

Now if you still feel we were wrong, I am more than willing to take the blame and quit IF. Coz suddenly I am feeling that I am not being moderated but being dictated to. I was the common person on the quoted conversation so I take the blame on myself and am ready to quit the CC if that's what you would like. I don't think shutting down a CC which other's enjoy just coz of a few misinterpreted comments is right to them. Its not their fault.

We were given a note on our earlier thread and we did realize we were in the wrong and hence no one responded to it or argued with it. Just FYI.
