He was spineless but tried to pass it off saying that he couldn't support Nikhat coz he's always loved Najma. How convenient.

so why couldn't imraan do the same ? if his mother wanted him to get married why couldn't he suggest najmas name

Because she broke up with him! You can for a marriage weird your ex. Even now does imran know whether najma even wants to marry him?? No.

And with regards to the leads - lets clarify that statement some of us (and I know you do too I have seen you do it 😊 ) point out the faults of our leads but yet we don't consider them irredeemable on the simple fact that they are our leads.

Asad did a lot worse than misjudge Zoe and he finally has understood that and I am glad he is redeeming himself.

Agreed with a mother like haseena I am surprised imraan has not become totally mute by now. Yes, he got kicked around a little but he does need to stand up for someone. Him walking out on nikhar was bad. Even though asad, Zoya and Ayana have flaws once they commit to someone they will fight for that no matter the cost to them. We saw asad ready to marry tanveer, Zoya accepting defeat because of a child, Ayaan will stand by Nikhat against odds.

Del, I am surprised we are suppose to sympathesize with Imran for that less than 5 minutes deal and gush over their less than 1 minute chemistry and forget the numerous beautiful scenes between Imran and Nikhat and disgusting scenes between Imran and Tanveer and Nikhat and his family...

The day he will be willing to shoulder his responsibilities- whether it's Tanveer's baby or Nikhat's family's self respect, I might be able to forgive him and consider him eligible for Najma.

As things stand now, I can't empathize with him but of course this is an Indian serial where every character can change 180 degrees. In real life, probably not.

In real life, weak men like Imran seldom change but in reel life, absolutely possible.

I am not disagreeing with that assessment of imran's character, I am merely pointing out the general hypocrisy of not being able to see his pov when other characters who we love have done the same or worse.

For eg: Ayaan is learning to be responsible now but he is still quite the callous little brat - yet we have a tendency to want to forgive him.

Asad, now, has started to take responsibility for his actions that led to such a big mess in his life and the lives of people he loves.

Zoya, though better than most other characters, lost her marbles when confronted by tanveer (I understand it was poor writing but the fact remains they are things her character did)

Even dilshaad shied away from the responsibility and loyalty towards her son when it came to rashid.

All of these things don't make these people bad just flawed and imran is one such flawed person. Does he deserve our forgiveness? -not right now but as of now he is a sympathetic character. As an audience I understand where he is coming from so yes I do feel sorry for him.

Btw I am happy to call him the irredeemable if we can all agree that not matter what asad or Ayaan do they will never be redeemed for the way they treated their significant others. In Ayana's case even the terrible way eh treated his brother.
