Are we just suppose to take what they decide to feed us, how they feed us..
So Najma left her and he found solace in Tanveer, it was not one time fling as he said Tanveer left him, and when she left less than month later he decided to fell for Nikhat(tanveer was month preggy). And it was his majboori that made him sing cute song for her, have romance, make her fall in love with him, yeah right!!!..
Wow just a nice way to hide a guy's mistakes behind this bechara, good work Gul. Now we can call, most jerks bechara, because most of time they use same excuse.
And leave upbringing aside, most doesnt have either, and Haseena Bii was evil to all but took care of his needs, provided him all. He has better upbrininging than most of other characters in this serial or even life in general..

Same question to you vineeta - am I supposed to forget that asad in the beginning was emotionally and physically abusive towards zoya? Or am I supposed to forgive hkm because he ran in afoot begging for her forgiveness or cried buckets a d tubs months?

Or how about Ayaan who is engaged to humeira because he has been blackmailed? Should I forgive him for being a callous and irresponsible jerk just because he feels guilty now?

And I do not understand the tanveer argument at all. Sleeping with someone when he is single and unattached doesn't make him a bad person.

He treated Nikhat horribly but he never loved her and that much is clear - Nikhat deluded herself into believing he did because he was kind to her and she appreciated it.

I didn't say anything about imran and najma getting together. I am making a general point that imran is a sympathetic character. Now if people choose to derive their own inferences from what I have said, I can't help it,

The forum reacts based on what it has seen. The show had established that Asad and Ayaan were people with good hearts before revealing their flaws. Which is probably why people were willing to forgive them when they did something wrong... But with Imraan, people have always seen him as a weak person who cannot stand up to his mother. They've seen him with three different women and not fight for a single one of them (Ok..may be Tanveer doesn't count😆)
Whether he can change for the better or not is something we don't know yet...I think until he shows some evidence that he can.., it's ok if people judge him or bash him..becoz this is the only side of him we've seen so far...

I think it is too soon to judge Imran's character. Up until yesterday we had no idea that he was in love with someone else.
I am not saying he should not be given a chance like Asad and Ayaan. May be he deserves a second chance too..

i agree because i have noticed his soft side, his guilt side whenever nikhat has been insulted...he felt bad and he tried to raise his voice..but unfortunately he could never do it...he never seemed unaffected whenever his mother insulted nikhat and family ...he felt bad and thats why whatever he could do to make nikhat feel better he did..i mean when they talked alone..he tried to soothe her and assure her things will be fine..he tried to tell about his past but nikhat stopped him and he accepted .thats is different that he never made any efforts to make those things real...

about this part... i can tell..its so common in indian society...many people might not believe..butit actually happens...boys might not agree with many things with their parents ..but they can never raise their voice...specially in arrange marriage..like girls many boys are also not allowed to support their would be wife even hen their parents are wrong...he is weak and he has been brought up in environment where he was never given any power to make decision

still i am not saying that whatever he has done to nikhat is right...but i am trying to understand from where it is coming.

now next part how he was in involved with tanveer-yes i will give him benefit of doubt mainly because of many reasons-
1-i have a feeling that it was one night stand and he let himself go with flow...and didn't even remember after that night..and child might not be his.

2- i think this track was not planned since beginning and imraan tanveerr convo might nothave same meaning what all we deduced from their words.

now what is relation with nazma-i feel that he loved her..and nazma too loved him..and one fine day nazma decided destiny of their love and broke up with him..it might be that imraan actually tried to talk to her but she didn't give him any chance and that led to his mistakes, one night stand, and emotionally breakdown. and weak personality...
he tried to move on with nikhat and tried to see life with her...but his ammi made thing worse for him and he became more weak and spineless..
plus he could never love nikhat from bottom of his heart..

now when he was at his low..he again remembered the person who know him most..his mother is obviously good for nothing...nikhat was upset with him..so who is left...of course nazma...and nazma came...and then again he could not hold himself back and just let himself go with flow..and again he found himself weak and wanted nazma to take his responsibility...
i liked when they gave back story plus imraan told her what happened after her exit..in brief but still he told her...

ok i am not saying he is right or wrong..but what i saw in his eyes was his helplessness wheather its about not be able to help nikhat or let nazma go..
lets see how CV handle this track...but i have a feeling they are trying to remake dilshaad-nazma-shireen once again..
and i don't think he deserves tanveer...nazma and nikhat might not deserve him..but he also does not deserve tanveer...even if its his kid..i would like him to adopt kid and stay away from that evil.

Am I stopping someone from bashing him? Look they are characters, I could care less if forum decides to cuss them all out or not. But I am entitled to my view and I have posted it. Simple as that.

Asad and Ayaan may be established as good characters but imran hasn't been established as bad. He is grey at the most.

Well.

There are different scales to measure I guess.

You talk about the one night stand quite lightly but to many people I reckon it's a great sin and it's something a person with no character would do.

As for my stance...he led Nikath on. Do I feel pity because he was dumped? I guess.

But he's spineless. Even if he didn't love Nikath, he let his mother torture the poor soul. He didn't find anything wrong when she demanded all those horrid things... that has nothing to with being dumped but shows what sort of man he is or rather the man he isn't.

I don't like Imran because he doesn't know right from wrong.

He blindly supports his mother.

What's to say he won't be the same douche with Najma?

I don't like spineless d*bags.

Rashid is one and Imran is another.

No matter how pitiful Gul shows these characters, I will neither empathise nor wait for them to be redeemed. Because these are the things that define your character.

I actually do not feel any pity for him for being dumped. I feel pity because he is a weak and emotionally abused man. That is all. It's all a question of the narrative until shown otherwise all he is guilty of is being a weak man and that is something all men on this show are - are we calling them all out?

Spineless.

Yes.

That is why I will never like him.

I guess it's a matter of perspective.

Asad, Ayaan and gaffur are all weak men too. And yes they have all been douchebags. Real life - I agree this people will forever be dirt under our shoe but on a show hm...

I will make a hp reference when I am back home from work. 😆
