in that case, indian soaps have made every society out there look bad. whether it be hindus, sikhs, christians, muslims, etc. in the end, it's a part of each and every show. i can personally say that i, being a sikh, have learned a lot about the islamic culture and religion through this show. qubool hai might have its flaws here and there, but i can guarantee that i have not seen one show till date that has stayed true to the different religious customs that should be associated with the characters' religion. at the end of the day, it is a show and while it may offend you, just let it be and continue to enjoy the show. :/

I am a silent reader of this forum. Today i thought i need to say something about this post.
I am sorry that u feel like this but honestly please get over it. There r so many thinks that Muslims are supposed to do but we don't, including myself & I am Muslim myself. Why r we even talking about religion in this forum in the first place. This is about entertainment not about bringing religious views. People who think that the show is about Islam then I suggest please stop watching the show & stop making this a religious battle ground. Don't we have enough of those already in world?!!!
Sorry if I hurt anyone's feelings.
Everyone have a wonderful weekend :)

Yes I agree with you, even I felt uncomfortable when the song came on. Because the meaning of the song is totally wrong according to Islam.

However, we have to understand that it's a show although it's showing aspects of Islamic traditions... It's not Islam. The show revolves around a certain storyline and not the religion completely. I am not watching the show because it shows muslims, i'm actually watching it for KSG, that's what attracted me to this show. I'm going to be honest, the storyline was the second thing I looked at.

My advice would be just to ignore it. Although for us, visiting the dargah etc might be a shirk, there are so many types of muslims some of which visit dargahs. That's right for them, we can't judge them. I usually avoid such scenes that offends me or look at it in a different way. The Zoya skirt scene, for me had nothing to do with religion. It was all about not judging one's character by the clothes they wore. Although, Islam forbids you from wearing such revealing clothes. I looked at it from a different POV. For example, if someone was to come out wearing a skirt in front of a pandit or a priest, they would react in the same way because it was do with respect (well to me anyways)
So my advice, follow the show; not the religion. Religion is something personal, the way someone else portrays it should not change our views. Unless they are directly attacking your religion, Islam teaches peace, respect and happiness.

As for evil people like Razia etc, there's evil everywhere regardless of religion. We should look at the message it's trying to portray; which WILL be that evil can never win over good.

Kay dunno what i've written. Hope i didn't offend anyone but i'm hopeless when it comes to explaining such things.

Let's be calm and watch Qubool Hai.

A song comes to my mind...
"Pehla Patthar wo maare jisne paap na kiya ho jo papi na ho"
I agree that according to Islam there is only on God pehla kamla shahada...
You are right in your post but as a muslim choice is ours...
whether we watch this show or not..
In fact sometimes on Q TV and other stuff there are issues that not all scholars agree to...
this is a family drama...
Islamically we should not be watching this show ... then discussing it on a forum... drooling over the characters or the story. Infact I have not watched it from 9th july. Just read the written updates.. which is also wrong according to my friends ... but Dil hai ki manta nahin...
But Tanveer getting pregnant out of wedlock ... that too is not Islamic.
all ladies who cover their head and Mr siddiqui are negative characters...?
Does that mean that Gul is trying to portray that all religious minded people are evil ...?
We watch these things to get away from mundane routines...
The choice at the end of the day is ours... whether we watch it or not...
I know that you won't be able to post replies coz you must of out of your quota :)

Here is the thing, I have read your post over and over again and what I have to say is that I am sorry you feel that way. I'm just saying but how come when the song came out in SRK's film who IS a Muslim there was no such thing. I understand this is the way you feel, and you are entitled to feel this way but I am a Muslim as well and I think you are going far by saying what the show should show and what not. You seem to be missing the whole point of the show, its trying to portray that religion can be with you and not hold you back. I am not being rude at all but really I feel as though you are really missing out at what Gul Amma is trying to say through the show.
Religion is not something that limits us, its something that helps us, its something that stays with us when times are tough. The fact that the song released and even in the original video of the song they show a Dargah, speaks volumes. I really don't think it has anything to do with them being Muslim, it just says Rab, you can interpret it in any way you can, there is no clear specification of Allah.
Once again sorry if I came off as rude but this is my opinion

I have always been told that we should never say Allah Miyan as the word Miyan refers to a man. It should always be either Ya Allah /Khuda or Allah Ta'ala.

But yes agree with original comment. As Muslims we only bow down in prostration to Allah and no one else. So the song does not fit inline with the backdrop of the drama.

The only offence that should be taken is with regards to anything said or done which goes against Islamic teachings and the Oneness of Allah SWT. Everything else is cultural and being a drama a work of fiction things should not be blown out of proportion by us as the viewers.

No offence intended
