As I said earlier it deffo don't come across as a sacrifice.

lol it defo did not seem like a sacrifice!? Man don't u have the audacity to state an opinion as a fact!

Hi5 buddy for creating this much needed post. I don't see the problem even if it's repetitive. Damn. If that's what is shown repeatedly that's what shall be spoken about repeatedly!!
My view- Zoya did become selfish. She did change her opinion but I don't think we wanted to see the "change" did we? I didn't want to see zoya having conflicting thoughts between asad and her father and worse actually choosing the father! I love asya so it isn't too much to expect them to choose each other, is it? She might have chosen him eventually but that brief moment of NOT CHOOSING him didn't give us a sign of any unconditional love there. forget unconditional, a reasonable amount of love would also not want their lover to live with guilt of being a bloody rapist! Why did she need some other factor or Allah or any force to remind her about the right thing. Why did she hesitate. Please don't give me realistic lectures, I don't watch qubool hai for realism, bloody hell the show was never realistic about tan killing zoya tactics and asad believing shit stories then why realism all of a sudden. Serial is a form of escape, for each one of us here so yeah I do expect fantasies and dreams coming true here not realistic stories!!

zoya is not selfish.

did you watched the last scene?

zoya told tanveer that "you should have checked the file before burning it. the file is empty and the contents are safe".

this shows that she has already decided some plan to expose tanveer. if she has planned something to expose tanveer means she has preferred Mr. khan's zindagi over her abbu. then how you are telling she is selfish.

If u don't like my saying that it dint look like a sacrifice then it's ur choice. I don't really understand how audacity comes into the picture.

I guess she's torn between two things at the moment:

1. Finally finding her father whom she's been looking for, for so long. The reason she stayed in India in the first place.

2. Telling the truth to the man she loves.

What Zoya is doing is wrong, no doubt. She shouldn't even trust Tanveer to tell her the truth about her father! I guess she'll come to her senses soon enough. If she doesn't reveal the truth in the near future then yeah, I think it's safe to say that she's being quite selfish. Pretty sure Mr. Khan will be devastated if he finds out that Zoya knew the truth this whole time.

To a certain extent, how we see ourselves in this world and our place in it comes from the security we get from our parents. When this is missing, as in Zoya's case, the person feels lost and adrift. Yes, she has found a home with Asad and his family but that is relatively a new thing. How can you expect her to squash a life long yearning to put a face to the mystery that is her father? That yearning is rooted in a small childs dreams and prayers, in a teenager's rants and angst and in a women's need to establish a family of her own with a husband and children even when she feels that she no roots of her own. I have a few adopted friends and even though they have loving homes that sense of abandonment and feeling adrift stays with them always and because of this insight I actually appreciate the way they showed Zoya's dilemma.

I'm sorry, you are disappointed in her for even contemplating her choices? The girl can't even think now? She acknowledged her options, and chose Asad. Over her own father. The very same father whose love she has been craving for her entire life.

Her relationship with Asad and his family is that of 2 months. Compare that to some 20 years she has lived deprived of her father's love. Cut her some slack.

The poor girl doesn't even have freedom of thought.
