I am excited and wowed that the CVS found the perfect way to balance 1. Asad's real nature and 2. Viewers' demand!
They show that he wants to slap Tanu, but doesn't as it is the holy month of Ramzan (Sorry for spelling mistake if any) and its not his nature to disrespect religion. :) So he breaks furniture instead. Asad has always been reactive in his nature - he has always reacted in some degree, physically because he is emotionally challenged as Zoya says - so he does not know how to best express his anger. He just reacts to it - either through tears/crying, breaking things(laptop, cell phone), overreacting(Spilling coffee, throwing the spoon from Tanu's place) and much to our hatred, slapping Zoya. But at the same time, he is shown as a man of character and with extreme respect of faith. I am glad that they retained both aspects of his personality in this outburst (I am referring to the SBB segment aired today - URL Not Available.
Hats off to CVS for balancing and silencing both warring/opposing views on the longest, heated, debate on this forum: Should Asad slap Tanu? I know a lot of us were divided on he should or not! But well, he did, and he did not...š
