Apologies for the long gap between chapters. Circumstances and such have prevented an update but it's been long overdue so here's the next awaited update.😃
Also bear with me, I don't want to drag out this story too far so there's a high probability that this story will conclude at Chapter 15.

CHAPTER 14
"What on earth is going on?" Asad asked the man who has helped them off the island and brought them to this other island. An island that was like a twin of the deserted island he and Zoya were trapped on for months on end, suffering to stay alive while just around the bend, this island. This populated island with everything they couldn't get was right there! So close.
"The islands are connected but the only access onto each island is by boat travelling around." The man said. "So we've been trapped on a barren island while civilization has been closer to us than we'd thought all along?"
"Did you know?" Asad said, his fury knowing no bounds at this point. He was angry beyond belief. Not so much for himself but the state Zoya was in could have been prevented. When he thought about all the times recently when people just showed up out of nowhere on the island, fleeing from them and never offering their aid. The man started to stutter, looking away from Asad. Asad grabbed the man by his shirt collar and yanked him up, "Look at me." He growled. "Tell me. Did you know we were there all along?" Asad asked through gritted teeth. "Let go off me." the man spluttered in fear.
"Not until you answer my question. DID YOU KNOW?" Asad yelled into the man's face.
"Y-Yes." The man stammered and Asad let him go, shoving him away from him. "And you all left us there? We could have DIED." He raged. "She could have died." He said to himself, his mind wandering to Zoya and his desire to go and be with her plagued him but he needed answers.
Asad sunk to the sand beneath his feet. Months upon months they scraped by, struggling to survive and these people, this man, knew they were there the entire time and never tried to help them until now. Asad's brows furrowed, "Why now?" He asked. "Excuse me?" the man asked. "Why help us now?" He asked again. "I took a stand and decided that we couldn't continue to let you all stay there especially since the girl had gotten sick."
Asad stood up suddenly, "How could you know she was sick when you only just saw her when you came for us?" Asad asked suspiciously. He saw the man's eyes widen and his throat moved as he gulped in fear. "No one has been on the island besides us since she's been sick so how did you know she was ill?" Asad asked again staring the man down. He had been right to have his doubts since strange people had started to show up on the island. This was some kind of conspiracy and if not, definitely illegal.
"Did I say that?" The man backed-up as Asad advanced, "Yes you did." Asad caught the man before he stepped any further away, "If you don't answer me now, you'll wish you had when I put my fist in your face!!" Asad yelled, his frustration and anger rising. "We've been watching you." The man blurted then winced as if he realized he'd said the one thing he shouldn't have.
" Watching us." Asad repeated in a lethal tone. "As in under surveillance?" When the man reluctantly nodded Asad continued, barely holding back his fury. "You said 'we,'who is 'we?'"
The man raised a hand in surrender, "I will tell you what you need to know, just please don't hurt me." The man said his face pleading. "Don't tell me the truth and you wouldn't have a hope of being saved from me." Asad said menacingly.
Asad sat down in the sand as the man whom he sound out was a TV producer of reality shows mainly survivor reality shows. His name was Brody Black and he had a partner, his brother John Black who he said hadn't wanted to pull the plug. He told Asad the whole story of how they had cameras on the cruise ship that Asad and Zoya had been on and how they had seen the heated encounters between them and his brother thought they would make good reality television. The most alarming was that their fall off the boat was engineered. The had apparently been watching Asad and Zoya for months. All the months they'd been on the island. Documented their every moment for their prospective new show.
Asad frighteningly thought of him and Zoya on the beach giving into their feelings but the man assured him that they had turned the cameras off when they got the inkling that something very private was happening. Asad's anger only grew with every otehr admission and he realized the man's brother was the brains behind the operation. He couldn't wait to get his hands on John Black. There would be hell to pay when this was over with. He listened in stony silence, fuming at Brody Black's story. About how they engineered the stuff Asad had found while scouring the island and how they had plans to edit all the videos soon and start pitching the show to the network.
"How could you get rights to air footage of us without our permission. That's illegal." The man swallowed hard and said, "The show wasn't going to be shown in international arenas but in the Caribbean only so it would be hard for anyone you know to have seen it and-"
"And WHAT?" Asad bellowed and the man jumped. "J-John didn't think we'd have to worry about legalities since he suspected you would die on the island sooner or later." The man moved himself out of Asad's reach as Asad clenched his fists so tight, his knuckles were white with the strain. He was flaming in his anger. So angry and frustrated that he could hardly see straight.
"I'm going to see Zoya in the hospital and after I do, you're going to take me to your brother and those tapes, all of them, you're giving them to ME!" He stepped into the man's personal space, "DO. YOU. HEAR. ME?" The man jumped and nodded quickly. When he got his hands on John Black, the man was going to wish he hadn't messed with Asad Ahmed Khan!

Zoya woke up groggy and weak. She could hardly lift the head. A nurse with a kind smile came up to her and started checking her vitals, "You're awake. Severely dehydrated you were.. You're lucky your husband brought you here so quickly or you might now have made it." The nurse said.
"Husband?" Zoya asked confused, "Oh he's not my-He's not my husband." Zoya replied. "Sure acted like it." The nurse replied.
"So since he's not your husband, should I just give you the good news?" The nurse asked beaming. "Good news?" Zoya was confused again.
"What good news?" She asked and the nurse patted her hand, "You're going to be a mother. Congratulations. You're pregnant!" Zoya's eyes widened and her heart started beating really fast sending the machines into a tailspin and making the nurse antsy trying to calm her down. When she looked up, she saw Asad standing at the door to her room, a shocked look on his face and she passed out.
