Hi everyone,

Since last ten years I have been watching Indian soaps and all they go is about their religion (Which I really appreciate! ) and I really wanted to see a Indian serial with Muslim backdrop and I was overwhelmed when Qubool Hai started because I thought as Indian serials are shown in detailing so I will get to see detailing of My religion but All hopes crashed when I saw dressing of main lead (Zoya) whih is against the religion!
Then evey serial celebrates Holi and Diwali and even small festivals like Bhai Dooj and akshaytritiya!
But I had no hope of This people showing small festivities of Islam like Shab-e-Mairaj and Shab-e-Baraat (Which recently passed).

Now Ramadhan is starting next week and If Gul Khan keeps QH away from Ramadhan and Eid and if she shows also I want it in details like waking up in Sehri and sitting united for Iftari then men going for Tarawi prayer and all that and at last Eid Prayer then Eidi then Sheer-Khurma and Sawaiyaan!(woudn't it look beUtiful and meaning ful!So if this all is not shown then I am out of QH and my last question will be what was need of making this serial with Muslim Backdrop??

Well, Zoya is an NRI. I don't want to start another debate about proper attire or anything, but her clothes are decent and they have always modestly covered her (let's not talk about the infamous skirt). If she lived in New York her entire life, it would have been impractical of her to not wear jeans, no matter how religious she was, just because of the weather. But that's a moot point because there is nothing wrong with what she wears.

As for your main point, I agree. I understand that showing a whole month of fasting is not even plausible but one or two days wouldn't have hurt anyone. Eid should definitely be shown because its is a very important part of the Muslim culture. And I think it would be cute too... Zoya asking eidi from her husband-to-be and in-laws. Regardless, considering the fact that this track doesn't seem anywhere near being done, I highly doubt that Ramadan is going to be shown. I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed for Eid though. Even if they show it a month late, I would still be content.

I sort of have two sides to this.. Part of me wants to see this happen.. but Gul Khan has goofed up so many other things religion wise..I don't know if you guys remember but in the first or second episode Ayaan said something like 'it's sunnah to pass salaams to people you see'.. YES it is but not with the intention of flirting with them like he does! I sort of found it highly insulting that she'd knowingly/unknowingly mock the sunnah.. but moved on from it thinking it's a one time thing.. but that's not the only time.. there have been many incidences which as a Muslim I've frowned upon myself!

Hence I don't want to see her show Ramadhan and Eid lest she goofs it up again and makes some sort of mockery out of it..! Ramadhan is the holiest month of all, and if she messes it up like she messed up other things.. that will probably be the last of Qubool Hai for me. Let's face it.. Gul Khan wants to show a story (albeit how dragged and stupid it seems at times with character IQ at 0) more than she does religion. The whole idea of her show being 'different because it's a different backdrop' has gone down the drain. It was only said to attract audience attention. Now she has it.. there's no need to portray it. So before I get really worked up over another religion issue part of me would prefer it if she doesn't show it. 😕
