Hi All,
I don't post usually but this was on my mind since the great Rape scene.
After Zoya saw Asad and Tanveer together, misunderstood as she was supposed to and then ran out; the first thought that came to my mind was; this is the real acid test, will she be able to withstand it. Then she yelled at Asad and without giving him a chance to speak she ran out. I didn't realize but I was kindof hoping that she would have given him a chance to explain what happened, and then put things together.
Why did she run?
Was it because she felt betrayed or was it because finally she realized the depth of her feelings for Asad and it scared her?
Did she not already suffer what Tanveer was capable of and firsthand lived, trusted, had faith in what Asad was capable of?
He stood by her many a times, even when he believed she was wrong, yet at the first sign of real trouble, when for the first time that he really needed her, she bailed, abandoning him and all the others that sincerely loved her.
Did she really pass the acid test?
