Gul khan...In many of your interviews you have very specifically and repeatedly mentioned that you want viewers to walk away with a positive experience...You want to clear misconceptions about the Muslim society...

Now, shall we take a look at what you have shown till now...

This show till now has shown every negative message possible...

Physical and mental abuse ( domestic abuse)

Women succumbing to abusive relationships.

Infidelity ( Rashid)/ bigamy ( Islam marriage laws applies here)

Dowry

Women degraded for having dark complexion

Regressive society for women

Kidnapping

Blackmailing

Forcing a girl to marry the rapist( Mariam)

Date rape shown as seduction

Young and bright women not interested in been financially independent...all they want is do is marry.

A wrong message to women ...Ho ahead and achieve what you want by seducing...raping...a man...of-course you will achieve.

Now, Ms Gul...was there any positive results out of these messages that you want viewers to walk away with...? None. Do you mean to say that in all this 8 months you couldn't come up with a single positive outcome ?

Its simple Ms Gul...It's not about showing messages ...it's about showing the right ones. And on top of that it is very evident that the views which has been portrayed are of an Mysogynism and sexism...it's a shame really.

The message should be ' Good Wins over Evil' not the other way around.

Also the Black Magic track and Baddua. The idea that all the blessings in the world can't overcome a single curse by a not so innocent woman. Even the rasams ended up being meaningless and useless as Tanveer said they would.

The lack of balance between positive and negative outcomes is what is killing it for me. Too much evil triumphing. Way too negative.

In being taken in by the magic of Asya, people are ignoring the plot, and as it unravels it is shocking. People blame the villains. But the truth is that these characters are holding up mirrors to the rest , and enjoying making them dance on their fingertips ecause of their own fallibility.

A sad truth of human nature is that you are only as strong as your weakest link. In plays like Macbeth and Othello, this is what is portrayed.

Technicalities, principles, social messages... All these are grist for th mill as Gul stays true to her tried and tested formula...

Throw in a dance, or kiss, or dream every week to up the Trps. Add lots of c class masala for the filler epis so that the saas bahus are happy.

Imagine for a moment that Asya had no magic. That this fatal attraction was not so palpable, that they had no chemistry. This show would be like badalte rishton ki daastan, in its post March avatar.😕

yes...black magic and curse...I forgot about that ( skipped those episodes)... The problem is that there is no balance at all...it's always the Evil who wins.

the truth is no one cares about social messages but they want to be righteous...it's just a ploy...all they care is about Money and Business.

Ok the message is in spite of so many bad things in this world, there are few good things also.. If there are 100 bad things, there is one good thing.. If there are people like Tanveer(rapist), Razia(murderer), there are also people like Zoya, Dilshad who are selfless, caring, helpful.. If there are people like Imran, Guffur(support wrong things), there are also people like Asad who supports only right and truth.. If there is any Rashid who leaves wife for another woman, there i also one Rashid who sacrifice everything to protect his love and children..

We can see good things and ignore bad things.. This world is full of evil, but we should not ignore good things..

Great post Rupunzale! Honestly, at this point I am so sick and tired of the kind of disgusting things shown, the disgusting dialogues used in the episodes. That 'humbistar' once still makes me 🤢 The show went to the shits ever since that bitch billo made her entry. And the more and more they are stretching her track, the more and more her departure seems unlikely!

There are so many plot-lines the CVs can explore - truth about Imran for starters (so we can say good riddance to this bitch), Rashid's backstory, Ghafoor revealed as Zoya's Abbu, Rashid revealed as the reason of Zainab's death (well technically Razia). So much potential and yet they refuse to let this BILLA go 😡

the message till now is that no matter how good you are...you are the one to suffer...no matter how true you are yourself...you are the one to get betrayed...honesty has been shamed and dishonesty has been honored...

i dont remember when She told about that positive feelings ..

Her every show had not only bad .. but showed ghastly truths of society.. starting from Geet (OMG) .. some really bad phases in IPK (killing of fetus) and Qubool hai ( it is baap of all the show in the sense of showing negativity)

but still execution-wise its still top notch .. thats why we could still bear it ..

and as someone already said here .. there are some good or positive aspects also which ultimately made us follow it until now ..

qubool hai is only 6 months old guys...they will run this show for a long time..and as far as social messages are concerned and projecting the social muslim setting...I am a non-muslim and qubool hai has really hooked me...the best thing i like about it is that the dialogues even that of the villians have some class about them (tanveer is the exception here...i agree)...there are a lot of backstories and they will explore it...we will have to let the CVs do their job..unless we want another IPK...as they say...the night is darkest before the dawn...
