'One thing you can't hide - is when you're crippled from the inside'
- John Lennon
How does it feel when you're accused of something that isn't your fault? You want to scream and shout and tell the world that you're not wrong, that you're being blamed for an action that wasn't your own - but nobody wants to listen. Misunderstanding seems to be in vogue, and you're the one left gasping for air.
'It's not what it looks like!' you want to cry, but no one is in the mood to listen.
When someone cries so hard that it hurts their throat, it is out of frustration or knowing that no matter what you can do or attempt to do can change the situation. When you feel like you need to cry, when you want to just get it out, relieve some of the pressure from the inside - that is true pain. Because no matter how hard you try or how bad you want to, you can't. That pain just stays in place. Then, if you are lucky, one small tear may escape from those eyes that water constantly. That one tear, that tiny, salty, droplet of moisture is a means of escape. Although it's just a small tear, it is the heaviest thing in the world. And it doesn't do a damn thing to fix anything.
For once, you realize the true value of the age old saying, 'What you see with your own eyes is never really true.' Feeling helpless and alone, you feel broken and crippled from the inside. You feel pain, but there is no bleeding on the inside. Your heart has broken completely but you can't really feel the shattered pieces.
It hurts, doesn't it?
It's what Zoya felt like when you refused to believe her, Asad. When she tried to tell you over and over again and you simply turned your back on her, do you know what it feels like now? Admitted, you didn't deserve this level of blasphemy. To be unwillingly seduced by your best friend on your wedding day is brutal, but now you know what it feels like when somebody doesn't believe you.
Now you know what it feels like Asad and hopefully, you'll stop judging people by their clothes and 'tehzeeb' or believing in people blindly.
I hope you've learnt your lesson now Asad.
Now grow those balls you obviously didn't use with Tanveer and get your girl back!
