As they say actions speak louder than words, Asad showed that by actions he approves of Zoya's thinking and gifted her a sleeveless kurta. Very symbolic.
Two, he actually GAVE the gift. In the past, he has just left the gift for her, and not completed the *sorry* conversation, but this time, he knocked, and actually went up to her and gave her the gift.
His anticipation as to whether Zoya will wear his gift is so cute. I think, when he gifted Zoya the pink saree, he was expecting her to wear his choice, but she didn't so he was angry like a little kid with her... though she did honor his gift, which he due to his lack of trust never found out why. He had put a lot of hope in the gift by complimenting Zoya but she crushed his expectations (for valid reasons which he does not know) by her modernism. The second time, he specifically mentions that HE HOPES she does not make a kurti out of it, so it was more like, I want to see what she does this time... And, so he does not realize that Zoya actually did it for love. Now that he knows Zoya honored the Saree for him, he has taken two baby steps. Gotten something different than a Saree, and that too sleeveless, and this time, he is not anticipating her to wear it as in whether she will honor his gift or not, but as to whether she has forgiven him or not.
His sorry is much more heart felt this time...
What, I would love to see next is some self talk. Zoya asking herself what do all these actions mean (Asad's) and get a hint and Asad talkingto himself that he did indeed misjudge Zoya.
What I want is a simple dialog from Asad that says:
"Friends?"
And begin the journey of love from that. I want Zoya to command that if he wants to be friends with her, he has to begin to trust her more (which he already has, but still they are not a team...). And, it will be nice to now see Asad changing himself (he already is, but more evidently) for Zoya...
