But such reaction for a show set in India!? Really!?!? Why no one complained when girls wore mini skirts in DMG? and incase u guys didn't notice she wore the skirt to show Najma only! What was so wrong in that!?

I am glad they have shown Zoya as liberal! It makes non Muslims like me respect Islam more!

i wonder if islam ask u to wear decent cloths den whats wrong with it that showing a muslim girl in micro skirt is increasing ur respect for islam.

though its true even m clueless why peple over reacting on skirt so much ,she just wore it to show najma.
may b bcz dis z a muslim show n dey tried to show through zoyas dlg dat wearing dat minimum cloth is allowable in islam which is absolutely wrong.

d modern clothing zoya wear, n her modern thought was perfect to make a non-muslim girl respect islam but sorry micro skirt is not agreeable.

To me it was fine! Ur opinion is not the absolute truth

I think what people mean to say is... A Muslim is someone who believe and practices what Islam/ Quran says, being a Muslim isn't all about just believing that there is a god! If that was the case then everyone would be called religious! Islam doesn't allow a female to wear clothes which are reviling any body part or attract the opposit sex. Which is why zoya wearing a mini skirt isn't approved for a muslim girl! Some people are saying that they he seen worse in west. My question to you would be, do you think if they really practiced Islam or knew what Islam really is would they be wearing those clothes?! I was born in Pakistan but raised in Canada an all my life I have worn shalwar kamiez and hijab and still I am very modern! I can keep up with the west. So my point is zoya shouldn't have to wear jeans/ mini to show that she is so called liberal!

somebody finally, finally said it correctly... hey excellent response 👏👏👏👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 and if they cant handle and understand that .. they never will.. concerning the skirt i think its ok if zoya wears it at home and for her husband, not in front of asad he's not her husband..

I am finding that there is no use in talking to the unreasonable, courtesy, this forum. All I can say is I am glad I am not a Muslim...it would be too much burden to carry on my poor tiny shoulders to represent a religion and behave according to that religion everywhere I go and with everyone I meet. God forbid, I ever wore a mini skirt...others religious people would crucify me.

TM- you are absolutely right by the way. That this is an Indian tv show and in India you have the freedom to show whatever you want on television as long as ofcourse it passes the censor board (or the tv equivalent of it). Indian tv shows are not subject to the rules as tv shows in Iran (I use Iran because its a theocracy) may be because India is a democratic nation while Iran clearly is not. If a mere mini skirt can bring so much dispute and upheavel then maybe Indian shows are not for you...and especially not American tv shows. Tauba tauba those filthy American tv shows are filled with mini skirts and heaven forbid...nudity. 😲 😲 😆

Grow up people...its truly saddening to see the way people reacted to a mini skirt.

I agree that Islam doesn't allow girls to wear something that revealing but I am sorry, if you look it at as strictly as we are looking at Islam, No religion allows it! Be it a Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Christian... Living in India, A lot of people have issues about girls wearing mini skirt. In many Indian dramas before, a girl wearing a dress or mimi skirt is looked down as compared to a sari or salwar kameeni wearing lead if the show. So people who are just pointing out Islam and saying that they are happy they aren't Muslims are being nothing but judgmental!

This whole discussion is really not about whether a religion allows a certain dressing sense or not. It's about Not Judging A Book By Its Cover! It's saying that All That Glitters Is NOT Gold! Jo dikhta hai zaroori nahin ki wohi sahi hai. Perception aur Judgement are two different things. Just because Zoya wears a mini skirt doesn't mean that she isn't cultured or a good person.

I am not saying that everyone who wears a hijab or burqa is wrong..I have friends who wear hijabs but I also have seen people wear hijabs and lying and cheating with their parents an sneaking out with their boyfriends and ending up marrying someone else. But I don't judge people based on what they look like or what they wear. I am a Muslim and proud of it! Among its rules the religion also teaches not to judge a person on appearance. A lot of people don't like girls wearing jeans or skirts but that doesn't mean those girls are characterless.

People really need to chill and realize what's been shown and discussed here. It is a fictional show and what's being shown is definitely not what's being discussed.
