Skirt Fiasco - First let me start by saying that skirt was not too short. I was one of the few who believed she had a right to wear what she wants but the skirt was short but today after watching the episode, it looked like a regular mini to me. Zoya, truly is part of the Khan family. Dilshaad and Najma protecting Zoe from Asad and finally Asad despite being annoyed protecting her from Maulv sahab. I bet the poor man has never seen a more respectful and shy woman 😆
Agreed! I didn't find the skirt trashy at all. Also, it was clear she did not want to wear it but did so only to show Najma as she insisted. Yeah, liked how the Khans provided a body-purdah!!
Asad showed character growth by wanting to confront Zoe in the confines of his room. Yes, what he said was cutting but the minute Zoe opened fire on him he had the decency to look ashamed. He was, even, a little terrified of Zoe and her outburst, but he needed to hear it. He needed to have his eyes open on how much Zoe has changed and done for him. Zoe's parting shot "and btw yeah mere kapde hain, character nahin" was brilliant. Kudos to the dialogue writer there.Talk about character growth!! He was like a dog with his tail between his legs hearing Zoya's emotional outburst. Loved it. He had the grace to look sheepish!! He then goes on to buy her yet another Indian outfit!! Guy doesn't learn! Maybe the short sleeves (as per spoiler) was a compromise and his way of telling her you can show some skin - arms but not those sexy legs!
All about a knife - How brilliant was Zoe today? She effectively outsmarted the cat with her quick thinking and presence of mind. Tanveer should be scared because just as much as Zoe underestimated Tanveer in the beginning, Tanveer is now underestimating her opponent.Loved that scene! Tanveer will be history soon. Miss Marple, uh I mean Miss Farooqui is back in action! And man, does she rock!
While all of us thought it would be Ayaan who would help, i think it's a fantastic touch that it is Rashid instead. In fact the whole scenario is slightly more believable.I actually guessed it. For once, my prediction came true!
Observations/Questions:
Does anyone know what papers Asad and Zoya signed? Was it a marriage license?My guess is its the written marriage contract signed by the groom and bride. Isn't that what's read out aloud at the Nikaah? I am not sure though. Don't know much about Islamic rituals.
