Okay everbody. Crap alert. I have no idea what nonsense I just wrote. Please forgive me.
I'm not even a writer, but I started this so I'll try to stick with it. If anyone has a plot or something. SHARE. Because I have no idea where should I take this now. Ideas help you know. 😃
But here's chapter 7 for my beloved readers.

**************************************************************************************************************************

Chapter 7:

After about half an hour, a small ray of hope shined their way when they saw a man on a motorcycle pass by. Zoya quickly stepped out of the car and stood beside Asad, who was now desperately flailing his hands like a mad man. Zoya stifled a snort, and waved one hand as if trying to stop a taxi. Asad noticed this and raised his brow, shaking his head at the same time. Both stopped their staring and glaring game when the realized that the man had stopped and was giving them the look.

Asad put his hands down and Zoya followed cue, both blushing at the stupidity of each other.

"Uh hello, you see our car is broken down and it cannot be fixed without a mechanic, so would you mind sending one on your way to wherever you are going?" asked Asad in one breath.

The man did not say a word but looked at them and their car for a long while. He then broke out into a toothy smile and said, "It's your lucky day! I am a mechanic and I have the tools with me too."

Zoya gasped at their luck and clasped her hands in joys, thanking the mechanic profusely and asking him to fix their car as soon as possible.

Asad couldn't understand Ms. Farooqui's childishness. How can she get excited about such small things?

Zoya on the other hand had tied her dupatta around her waist and scrunched her hair into a bun. She followed the mechanic's steps and passed him all that he need, while he lay underneath the car. Asad could do nothing but marvel the beauty standing in front of his eyes. He shut his eyes to block out all such thoughts about them, but before he could even comprehend what was happening he heard a loud shriek.

Zoya was holding her fingers between her palms and blowing on them furiously, holding the tears brimming her eyes. Asad ran to her side and took her fingers in his hands and started blowing on them. When he noticed how pink they were becoming he took both fingers in his mouth and sucked on them, trying to ease the burning sensation. Zoya took a sharp intake of air and realized that though the burning sensation had left her fingers, they spread all over her spine, her stomach, and her face. She shut her eyes when she felt her knees go weak, she had to stop him before she fell but the feel of his lips would not let her.

"Ms. Farooqui, is it better?" whispered Asad still lightly blowing on her fingers.

Zoya slowly opened her eyes and could not breathe when she saw Asad's concerned filled eyes.

"I-I'm good Mr. Khan. It was just a minor burn. I don't know what I touched but whatever it was was very hot!" she answered, trying to smile.

Asad still holding her hands, pulled her closer and with a frown said, "Ms. Farooqui, what is your problem. You don't have to do everything you know! You can't do everything! Now couldn't you leave the mechanic alone! Right now it's a minor burn, what if you touched acid or something? What would I tell Ammi? Ms. Farooqui, why don't you ever think about others?"

Zoya pushed Asad with her left hand and pulled her burnt hand out of his grasp.

"I was just trying to help him Mr. Khan. And it was an accident, I didn't mean to do it on purpose!"

"Your help always lands people into trouble Ms. Farooqui and your accidents hurt you! So why don't you just stop Ms. Farooqui. I already hurt you enough, we don't need you hurting yourself." Asad responded, turning his back to Zoya and running his hand through his now greasy hair.

Zoya stood rooted to the ground. She didn't know whether to cry at his outburst or laugh of joy at the fact that he cared so much for her. He didn't want her hurting. But was he guilty of hurting her. Yes, he had hurt her multiple times with his words but it was nothing to carry a grudge about. Just as Zoya lifted her hand to reach for Asad's shoulder, the mechanic interrupted by coughing out loud.

"I'm all done!" he said, wiping the oily grease of his hands.

"Thank you so much!" said Zoya with a genuine smile.

"Thank you, how much would you like?" asked Asad, removing his wallet from his pocket.

"Ten thousand" replied the man, still intent in cleaning his hands.

Asad lifted his head and said, "Excuse me?" Before Asad could go into a detailed lecture, Zoya intervened and said, "You mean a thousand right bhaiya?"

"No, I mean 10,000 rupees." He said, stuffing his handkerchief in his pocket.

"You have got to be kidding me! No way I'm giving you ten thousand! If I had the tools then I would have never asked for help!" screamed Asad, stepping closer to the man, with his worst angry face.

But this time Zoya did not stop him. What was this man thinking? Who would ever pay 10000 to a mechanic for a less than 15 minutes job? She folded her arms across her chest and threw a dirty look at the man.

The man however kept his calm and looked at Asad straight in the eye. "If you had the tools then you would have fixed it right, but you didn't." he said pointedly.

"You-" started Asad.

"Uh-uh, listen to the offer. Because your wife helped me a little, I'll give you guys a discount. 5000 rupees, no less!"

Zoya dropped her arms, oh the audacity of the man! She had already prepared to shoot of a mouthful in his direction, but shut up when she saw Asad handing him the money and turning to the car. The man's smile grew bigger and he immediately rushed off on his bike, ignoring Zoya's waits and stop nows.

Stomping her foot, Zoya walked to the car and slammed the door shut once she got in.

"Mr. Khan, how could you ever pay him 5000 for something like that! That man should be sent to jail for cheating people like that!"

Asad groaned and started the car, silently thanking Allah when it did and they raced off home; neither speaking to the other.

*********************************************************************************************************************

As soon as Zoya and Asad were home, they were engulfed in a hug by a worring Dilshad.

"Oh bachae, I was so nervous. Tum dono thik toh ho na?" she asked with worry.

Both Zoya and Asad replied at the same time, "Haan Ammi-Haan Phupi" They turn to glare at each other but Zoya cut it short when she noticed Tanveer standing behind the door.

"Arre Tanveer, tum waha kyu khadi ho, you can come here you know?" said Zoya with a slight annoyance in her voice. She had nothing against her but she just did not like the way she hung around Asad all the time. "I mean it's my thing to do!" she mumbled incoherently, not even realizing what she meant.

Tanveer eyed her suspiciously but stepped into her perfect diva mode. She fixed her dupatta and Zoya did not miss the glint in her eye as she walked towards Asad.

She grasped Asad's arm and began her fake concern."Jammy, aap thik toh ho na. Hum kitna ghabra gaye the. Where were you? I hope nothing happened." Turning her face towards Zoya and still not removing her hand off his arm, she said, "You went to drop Zoya right? No offense Zoya, but why does Jammy always end up in trouble when he goes after you."

Zoya knew if looks could kill, Tanveer would be lying on the floor. She felt her blood boil at Tanveer's words but she knew there was nothing she could say. It was true in a way. Wherever Mr. Khan went with her, trouble followed them along. She clenched her fist and brought a fake smile to her face.

"You see Tanveer, I am Mr. Khan's very own personal musibat. And I'm sure you know the meaning of the word already. So he just has to deal with me akhir musibat kahaan jaldi picha chod ti hain!" said Zoya emphasizing Mr. Khan's and breathing out slowly.

Tanveer left Asad's arm after hearing her outburst and all the color left her face. Asad on the other hand could not help the smile that lingered on his lips. Ms. Farooqui gets jealous so easily he thought, chuckling to himself. All it takes is a girl to touch him lightly.

He closed his eyes for a second to repeat what Zoya said. He reveled each word. She made it sound like she was his. Like he had all rights on her. She would be there with him forever. He opened his eyes to see that everyone had gone. Zoya had gone. He was alone in the living room which made him quite uncomfortable. Had he been standing there like a retard with his eyes close daydreaming about Ms. Farooqui? He rubbed his face with his hand vigorously trying to get the embarrassing feeling off himself. What was he thinking, their marriage is an act. How could he think such things about her? He had to tell Ammi the truth before things go to out of hand.

"I have to talk to Ms. Farooqui."

Chapter 8:

Walking towards Ms. Farooqui's room, Asad bumped into Tanveer. Silently apologizing he moved to his right to walk away but felt a sharp tug on his arm stopping him. He turned to face her and asked reluctantly, "Are you okay Tanveer?"

"No I'm not Asad" looking straight into his eyes.

"Why Tanu?" turning all his attention to his friend.

"Asad I know you are not happy with this marriage. How can you marry Zoya? I mean you both are so different. I know the picture of the perfect wife you have in mind. She doesn't fit it at all. You can't marry her Jammy. You're going to ruin your life if you do. Not only yours but she'll ruin the whole family."

Her lips quivered as she made her point. Asad tried to comprehend all that was said to him. He knew Zoya was not meant for him. He was going to talk to her about it, but how was she bad for the family. Ammi and Najma already considered her a part of this family. She brought smiles to their faces and made laughter echo throughout their house.

"What are you talking about Tanu?" Asad probed, seriously confused.

Tanveer stepped closer and managed to get a little teary.

"I don't know how to tell you this Jammy but I need to. You know right that Zoya is here to find her Abbu?" Asad nodded and waited for her to continue.

"Well, I know who her Abbu is. I did not tell her anything yet because I thought I should let you know first." By now Asad was getting restless and simply sacred.

"So what Tanveer, tell me who is it? I mean Zoya will be ecstatic. She has been waiting for this moment her whole life!"

"Zoya might be ecstatic but you're going to be broken. I'm really sorry Jammy. But remember I'll always be there for you." Tanveer replied, taking Asad's hand in hers.

Asad had enough of this guessing game. He was annoyed to the core. Why couldn't Tanveer just tell him straightforwardly? Why was she beating around bushes? Angry at her sudden mood to play with words, Asad pulled her hand away and snapped, "Stop it Tanveer. If you know the truth, then say so!"

Tanveer stepped back in shock and tried her best to hide the smirk that threatened to show itself. This was so good. She was trying to savor the moment. The moment of Zoya's utter ruin. She sensed Asad's ragged breath and knew she had to reveal the name now. Finally the moment she had waited for had come.

"J-Jammy, it's Ghaffur. He is related to the man you hate the most! He's the brother of Rashid Khan's second wife! How can you ever marry a girl from their blood line Asad!" She looked up to see the fire burning in Asad's eyes. She threw on her faade and tried to engulf Asad in a hug but he just pushed her back and walked away.

Tanveer did not care about his rudeness. All she cared about was that the damage had been done and now nothing could pull Zoya out of the quicksand Tanveer had laid out for her. She finally smiled and swayed back to her room, thanking Allah for all his goodness.

**********************************************************************************************************************

Asad poured himself another drink as he tried to calm the pounding in his ears. His head was spinning and his palms were bleeding because of all the fist clenching he had done. His knuckles too were bruised and his eyes were bloodshot. Asad rarely drank. It was moments as such where he could not help himself. He let go of all rules and regulations if his heart hurt too much. And right now it felt like it had burst. He punched the wall once again, when Tanveer's words replayed in his head.

"Why, why did Zoya have to be related to that man? Why?!" he yelled out, pulling his hair with both his hands.

"Why Allah? Why are you always so keen on snatching love from my life? Why? Tell me Allah! Reply! Reply Allah! Reply'" screamed Asad, breaking down into tears once again.

Roughly wiping the tears of his face, he stood up.

"I'm going to talk to Ms. Farooqui. I have to tell her that she has no right to live in my house! She has to leave this house and me." Said Asad, tightening his jaw. He opened his door but kept his hold on the knob firm when he felt himself sway a little. When his eyes seemed to stay open and not show him double of everything, he stomped towards Zoya's room.

********************************************************************************************************************

Zoya was sitting on her bed, playing with the music box her father had given her. It was her most prized possession. Her only clue to find her father, along with his old photograph. Zoya knew that her Abbu was alive, she just knew. But why was finding him so difficult. Didn't he care about her? Didn't he look for her? Knowing there was no point in thinking such things, Zoya shut the box and pulled her covers up. Just as she was going to sleep, she heard a loud pounding on the door.

"Yah Allah, who could be banging the door so late?" whispered Zoya to herself, while slowly getting up and walking towards the door.

She took a large breath and opened the door, letting out a loud gasp as she saw Asad's disheveled state.

"Mr. Khan! Yeh aap ko kya hogaya hain? W-Wait are you drunk Mr. Khan?" asked Zoya, stepping back due to the harsh smell coming from Asad's breath.

Asad ignored her and stepped inside her room, slamming the door shut and locking it in the process.

Now Zoya was thoroughly sacred. She whimpered a small "Mr. Khan" and stepped back as Asad advanced towards her. With a loud thud Zoya realized that there was nowhere to escape, Asad had cornered her and she was trapped. She blinked her eyes rapidly, trying to clear her sight. When she noticed Asad's eyes burning with anger and hunger, she turned her face away. She was disgusted. Suppressing a sob, Zoya pushed Asad away with all her might but found the effort useless. Instead, Asad grabbed Zoya's wrists and moved closer, pressing his body onto hers.

"No Mr. Khan" Zoya whimpered when she felt a current rush through her spine, despite the state they were in.

"What are you doing Mr. Khan?" asked Zoya, trying to loosen his grip on her hands. She tried squirming away but stopped when she realized it was just making her touch him more, and she really did not need that at the moment.

"Ms. Farooqui! Stop moving! I just came to tell you one thing! We can't marry. You and I don't work out. We will tell Ammi tomorrow that I can't marry you. So don't create any drama, do you get that?" said Asad, his grip on Zoya getting tighter. He let her go when she let out the sob she was holding.

"Why are you saying such things Mr. Khan? You really don't feel anything between us?" asked Zoya, rubbing her hands to ease the pain in her wrists.

"No Ms. Farooqui! I do not!" retorted Asad moving back and smiling menacingly.

"You really don't Mr. Khan?" inquired Zoya, this time she was the one walking towards him, enclosing the space between them.

Asad, unlike Zoya did not move back though. So Zoya shifted closer, staring right into his eyes.

"You really don't feel anything when I come this close to you Mr. Khan? Does it really not hurt you when I walk away?"

Asad was dumbfounded, his breath had hitched and his heart thumped in his chest. He could not get the words out his lips, and once again it felt like the world had started spinning.

"It's okay Mr. Khan, I got my answer already. Your eyes always speak for you. Aap ki dil ki baat aapke zubaan pe kabhi nahi aati, lekin aapke aakhein sab keh dete hain." Said Zoya stepping back and giving Asad a chance to breath.

When he finally apprehended what she just said, Asad pulled the cover off her bed and knocked her side table down.

"No Ms. Farooqui! No I feel nothing for you!" yelled Asad, throwing whatever he could find near him. Before Zoya could stop him, Asad picked the music box from her bed and threw it against the wall in her room.

"NO!" cried Zoya. She ran across the room to pick her father's last remains, crying inconsolably as she tried mending the pieces but failed miserably.

Asad shut his eyes when he realized what he had thrown. That was the music box, Zoya always kept with herself. Her father's gift. Before he could even feel sorry for what happened, Asad felt the room spin a little and then all went black.

Zoya who was sitting in the corner, turned to Asad to give him a piece of her mind but found him sleeping awkwardly on her bed. She slogged towards him and punched his chest trying to wake him up but all went futile. She realized he must have drunk a lot. Zoya could not believe what had just happened. She did not know what to make out of it, so she decided to let it go. She fixed the cover around Asad and put a pillow beneath his head. When she felt that all energy had drained out, she fell to the floor and pulled her knees close, crying herself to sleep.
