I really think that the real reason Asad was irritated/annoyed/exasperated at Zoe was because he couldn't digest the fact that a woman so beautiful who aroused so many new feelings in him when he saw her at the Mazhaar, could be so childish and un-tehzeebwaali.

Plus, that beauty is just there, roaming around his house, being totally cute and oblivious to the fact that she's driving him mad! And he's supposed to stay away! Obviously he thinks that she's not the bichari. Bichara toh hamara pent up AAK hai, who's controlled for way too long for it to all come gushing out when he set out to propose her. Hello, Dilshie told you to propose to Zoe, not seduce her, but janaab kab tak control karenge! 😉

Thank you and i second your take on this. Yes, Zoe created an image in Asad's mind when he saw her first glimpse and its still his favourite memory of her. And then, she turned out to be a total tomboy brat - nothing like the ethereal soft feminine beauty he had seen at the Dargah. So, his fight within himself began. Loves her, attracted to her, desires her but cannot give in to the craving because of his own principles and for her betterment.

Bechaara Asad hi hai and you can see it in the proposal scene - all the love and the desire he feels for her. It was strong and passionate enough to send Zoe's breath missing. 😉
