honestly, I have never liked Asad's character...he is judgmental, extremely prejudicial, regressive in thoughts and hypocritical...I simply cannot tolerate such qualities In a man but above all I was shocked when he slapped her...that was when I completely started despising the character...but saying that I did start giving him the benefit of doubt and stated accepting him in Zoya's life because he showed signs of empathy. But, his recent interactions with Billo is probing me to think differently once again...Asad is being downright unethical here with his so called friendship...I am sorry, I grew up having very close friend who are boys since kindergarten ...some of whom are still my best friends but in no way do I hold their hands or hug them as Asad and Billo does...it's absolutely unethical and is an insult to our respectively partners.

I cannot completely fathom the fact that Asad allows Billo to touch him whenever she wants even if holding hands knowing very well how Zoya feels about it...he should be more thoughtful about the whole situation because this is a sensitive issue that his own mother has gone through. How can he even joke with Zoya on the basis of jealousy? It really doesn't matter whether we are from the western world or from the eastern...something unethical as this is wrong everywhere.

Friendship is a wonderful relationship but there has to be boundaries maintained and respected in it too. When that very friendship knowingly or unknowingly hurts your existing partners it's very important that the individual realizes it and doesn't cross their limits.

For the last couple of episodes Asad's behavior towards Billo is not that of friendship anymore IMO...to me Asad is at his hypocritical best and their relationship seems downright unethical.

I am sorry...if things doesn't change for the good...I don't think I will be able to support and rejoice in Asya's nikaah as a woman or as a viewer. I believe it's time for Asad to realize Zoya's worth and acknowledge her importance as her as his first priority or I would strongly want Zoya moving on with someone who really deserves her because at the end of the day Zoya deserves a better man than someone who walks away leaving her shattered and broken from a near death experience to his so called friend.

I REALLY WISH I COULD GIVE YOU LIKE 1000 LIKES FOR THIS POST!!!
I completely agree with you in everything u said and you have some really strong points here!!!!
I think they should jus bring one of zoya's guy friends from New York then asad will noe wht it means to be jealous!!!! Even though we all noe tht Zoya will not cross her limits like asad did but everybody will get to see tht the friendship that asad was talking about was wrong and it never was friendship!!!
Anywaz I really love all your points they are really some strong points!!!!

I think Asad has figured out that something is NOT OK with his friend. I believe this time the writers are actually going to address this and not screw up like they did with the slap - at least I hope so. I believe we should hang in there..I have a strange inkling that Asad is going to finally surprise us.

I know this has nothing to do with the show but since you made a topic on hypocrisy and downright unethical friendship I couldn't help but point out the bias...When people are ok with it in reality then why not in a fictional show...???

because Asad and Tanveer both are supposed to come from conversative backgrounds where their actions especially in public aren't deemed right..

KSG and Surbhi are 2 different people compared to Asad and Tanveer.

I do agree with you but not completely...Tanveer touches him with a purpose but Asad isn't aware of it and his expressions whenever Tanveer is close to him doesn't look like he's enjoying it...
I agree that friends do behave like this but considering someone like Asad whuz ever ready ...giving lectures on Tehzeeb and Tameez...this type of friendship is hard to digest but I guess he deserves a benefit of doubt.

But for once I would want him to stand up for Zoya and fight for her even if it means going against someone who he considers an innocent soul.

Its like if he trusts somebody he would never suspect them or question them even if thr r proofs and if he hates someone than he will alwayz consider that person wrong ...Like during Rashid's court case...

Asad hates Rashid that means for him he'll alwayz be right
Asad trusts Tanveer that means she'll alwayz be honest

But thats how his character has been till now and we cant expect him to change immediately. Though I hope this time he will mend things for better , realize the true color of Tannu and the importance of Zoya in his life.

Its not about characters or actors... I'm talking about people's mindset... Those objecting to the closeness have issues because its about their favourite couple and not because of their background... Consider a situation wherein Tanveer would've been a genuine friend and well wisher, even then, the idea of them holding hands would not have gone down well with the fans...

Asad-Tanveer come from a background where public display isn't considered appropriate. Karan and Surbhi are different from the characters and the background from where Asad-Tannu come. With due respect I don't think the comparison is appropriate.

I think you're mistaken. It's not about favourite actors being all touchy or not. It IS about their background. Because friend or not Asad doesn't go aroung holding girls' hand unless there's a deep connection with them. So even Tanveer was nice and genuinly meant well.. if she did act all touchy with Asad then.. Then it would be out of her character.. But clearly it is all IN her character now.. So Asad's the only one you can look at here.

I'm not comparing the characters with the actors... The point I was trying to make is about the situation... Put aside their background for a while... Even if Asad's character was not conservative fans would've been outraged with such closeness with anyone else other than Zoya... And our beliefs shouldn't differ depending the individual in question... If we can be broad and open minded in our approach in certain situations than why not here...??? Asad is conservative not people out here...

I am not going to go into discussion on the right and wrong because we can obviously agree to disagree 😊. But on the script I have to agree that this track has been dragged to no end. Not being able to see any loophole gets a little illogical at one point. One one end there is a justification that no best friend or in Dilshad's case no woman would feel that the girl who is like her daughter would do something of this sort. But I think the show needs a change of story here, because this track if stretched any longer shall get exhausting for the viewers.

As for Asad's character. I've come to realize that 4 lions make their men look like smart and calculative but when time comes they tend to lose that sharpness, just so that the evil character is more magnified, but it ends up looking illogical on both the ends.

Asad was always supposed to be a flawed man with a clean heart. Hence though his actions are obviously going to be judged as right or wrong, I am patient because we knew what the character sketch is going to be like. After all as part of a love story eventually he will learn his lessons, understand Zoya's worth, learn how to trust and love, but now he is yet in the process of learning. But at the end of the day Asad and Zoya will end up changing each others lives anyways, Zoya will obviously help him out of it.

What sort of a comparison is that anyways? Karan and Surbhi are "actors" and not the characters, they being friends or getting along while they do their job and Asad and Zoya doing whatever in the show is totally poles apart. Though I may choose to not agree with some things the topic maker is saying but this comparison does not make any sense to me either dear.
