I don't know about India but here in the west guy puts the ring on girl's finger and that's how the engagement happens and only on the wedding day guy and a girl both put wedding bands on each other. So the girl wears two things, the ring and the band. Maybe it's trending in India now too..who knows..but that's how it's done here in the west!!!

Nope Nina is absolutely correct. In Islam rings aren't needed. It's between the two individuals and whether or not they want to wear rings or give a ring to the other person. 😊
