I think Asad just doesn't like anyone very much, male or female.

He cares quite a bit about society.

But to be fair his character does make sense in a way.
His mum was ditched by his dad, society obviously blamed the woman, his mum was an outsider, and like Shireen said it's like Dilshaad was just thrown away by Rashid. She was clearly looked down upon by people with the same mentality as Razia and Shireen who believe that people shouldn't associate with a woman like Dilshaad who was left by her husband.

Now Asad loves his mum a lot, he'd do anything for her, and he can't stand her being insulted. It's like he can't allow society to think bad of his mum. This is where Zoya comes in. Zoya doesn't fit into this society. She's not like any of the other woman from either Dilshaad's side or Shireen's side. This pathetic society would probably frown upon Asad and his family because of the fact Zoya wears Western clothes. He keeps saying she doesn't fit into his family, but by whose standards, his own or those that he believes he should hold? Maybe both. And if he loves Zoya regardless of her apparent flaws, does that not show he is only thinking about superficial stuff as what people would think of her?

You see the man can't think for himself. He sees the good in her but he can't accept her because society wouldn't accept her. He's a man who conforms completely to societies norms. He won't go against it because it might affect his status. At least that's what I believe about him.

He needs to grow up in a sense. He needs to realise he loves Zoya, so who cares what she dresses like, or how different she is from him?

Okay, really, I got nothing man. Haven't seen more than 5 minutes of this show in totality and for a TV-buff like me, that's saying something. Regardless, here's what the story is in my mind:

Okay, so Asad is like a six-pack guy but with four packs, and rolls his eyes a lot. He's got a mom and at first I thought he was in a homo relationship with the hairy guy(It's about time we start on the slash fanfiction guys.) but then I realized we're not watching Rishta sahi, Soch nahi so obviously Asad has to fall for the chick who's ALLAH MIYAN WHAT'S WRONG WITH HER? Who calls their potential sex partner Mr. Khan? So, anyway, Zoya falls for Asad too, right? And then they had bathroom sex, right? I mean I totally saw like 2 seconds of the bathroom scene.

And the hairy guy is forced into marrying his sister or what? And his Grandma is, like in the FBI or something and ohhh there's the vamp-woman whose husband is Zoya's father? RIGHT? That and then there's another chick who's like a vamp too and Zoya is jealous of her or something. Okay, there's that and then maybe 4Lions are Potterheads because what the hell is Hermione Granger after she drank Polyjuice and almost changed into Millicent Bulstrode's cat doing here?

Have you ever seen Dilshad or Shereen whatshername and Hermione after she drank the potion in the same room? CO-INCIDENCE? I THINK NOT.

So, that's pretty much all I know. That and that whatshername even talks like a cat. I'm not kidding yougaiz, there is a real conspira.. WHOOPS. 4LIONS' SHOW. WRONG WORD. *runs*
