Is QH the best casted show?

The answer is probably, yes.

How many times have you seen the female lead and her mother look so close in age? Put your hands up. How many times have you seen such inconsistencies in characters? Put your hands up.

I was just watching the last couple of episodes and I just realised how much Gul and team have worked on hiring the perfect actors, and how subtly they compliment their characters. I'm not talking about acting-wise because frankly, each actors are amazing in their own right but I'm talking on the scale of appearance.

Something I noticed was how Ayaan has curly hair, and Nuzrat does too linking in with Shireen's hair. Nikhat on the other hand has wavy hair but the tips are curly time to time (for example, the engagement episodes). Najma has wavy hair whilst Asad's is straight, linking to Dilshad's straight hair. This might sound a bit off but I think the subtly in even hair styles is important because it shows the parentage (in a way) between characters. Not to mention that Asad-Dilshad-Najma actually look like mother and children!

In fact I love the difference between Dilshad and Shireen with their appearance. Dilshad, the woman who had to bring up her children alone, wears simple clothes in comparison to Shireen who wears brighter colours. Dilshad is straight haired whilst Shireen is curly haired, possibly to show Dilshad's maturity and Shireen's naiveness?

Coming onto Humera, this is something I've noticed earlier on before it was revealed her and Zoya were half sisters. I don't know whether this is deliberate or not but Humera and Zoya if you think about it, have similar make up, probably the emphasis the similarity between the sisters? The eyeliner, and even the eyebrows are similar and other make up used is quite less or natural. Let me give you an example...

Similar? Like I said, subtle differences to show the relationships.

Tanveer is the ultimate villain, well as well as Razia but Tanveer has her own motives (which i'll mention in my next post, if I can get enough time). Though there is a significant difference between Nisha and Amrapali's interpretation with the latter's being more negative it still doesn't deter away from the fact that Tanveer is someone to be hated on. And as much I liked Nisha's Tanveer, Amrapali's is even better because she's someone who is perfect in the eyes of the world but inside is a fallen woman (I don't know whether to say this but yeah).

Can I just have a special mention for the actress playing Razia (forgot her name!). She is amazing. I don't think I can express that enough. Her dictation, her mannerisms whilst playing Razia is just spot on. I don't think I loved to hate anyone else apart from her (maybe Tanveer as well). There's just something about the way Razia is presented, there's something eerie, scary, yet intriguing. And though I can't believe someone innocent as Humera is the child of Razia-Ghafoor, I think Humera is more like her father (and Zoya) than Razia. I don't know whether that's just me, or?

Awesome post dear i totally agree QH does have one of the best cast from the television soaps. all the characters are very interesting and you dont mind watching, as a matter of fact i also enjoy the dadi scenes with razia, i rarely found any scene boring to watch in QH and i randomly fast forward scenes not with asya. Well done to Gul for introducing such interesting characters...

Exactly! I'm overjoyed that Gul &co found actors that are SIMILAR to their characters in age and appearance. I think it's safe to say how annoyed I get when female leads look the same age as their mothers. -_-

I actually love Dadi! She is awesome! The way she doesn't take Razia's maltreating, and just answers back. I think I laughed out loud so hard when she slapped Razia in the hospital. That woman has guts! And plus, it just shows whether you're old or not (like Dadi), it doesn't mean you're weak!

Agree. The only off I think is humeira as razia and gaffur daughter. They are both tall and fair where as humeira is short and dusky. She does not look like their daughter to me.

Me too! I always think something will happen to poor Dadi! She reminds me of my gran and I would just want to hug her straight because she seems so sweet! But I love the fact that she gives Razia a taste of her own medicine.

That's WHY I love shows that don't revolve around the main leads, because frankly how many episodes can we watch through with the leads going through their situations? I mean, would we ever watch a show without ONLY two people in it? I wouldn't. Okay, we'd watch their love, their arguments, their love again but for how long? Soon it will get boring, right? And that's why QH is so different because it's not a love story but a family saga.

As well as AsYa, I love seeing HumAya, but then there's Najma-Dilshad who are like the perfect mother and daughter duo, the way they fangirled over AsYa just makes me want to kiss them! Nikhat-Imran are interesting because although we haven't seem much of them, they look cute together but then there's the storyline of him being the father of Tanveer's child!

And finally Dilshad-Rashid-Shireen, your heart just tugs to and fro because all three of them are innocent in all this!

Hmm...I get what you mean but I wouldn't say she's dusky, she's more of a mix of Ghafoor/Razia? And her being short, I think is deliberate because she's petite to add more emphasis to her character. She's someone who is much weaker than Zoya and easy to break (remember when she tried to harm herself?), I think Ketaki is perfect for Humera because she has that naiveness to her character and it's like you don't want anything to happen to her!

=)
