Good question Rin. I think Asad threw a challenge at her yesterday to gauge her feelings. He said two things:

I think more that the first question, the second was a direct challenge for her. He knows she ran away from her nikhaah and he thinks she doesn't take relationships that seriously but he has seen her since those early days and knows she is capable of honoring a relationship (with her father, with Dilshaad etc) If she had said 'yes' and "i know it's an important decision of my life and I will honor it," he would have gone through with the sagai and nikaah. I think emotionally she is not ready to make such a big commitment. That's why this separation track will help her realize the depth of her feelings.

Hmmm. very well said Bheegi! Exactly I feel she is not ready for this, there seems to be an underlying conflict in Zoya's character that isn't being fully addressed. Her refusal to deal with serious and important emotions. I feel the entire truth of her past will finally force her to grow up and grow out of her fears. Right now this Ajmer track might push her towards realization and Asad towards acceptance of his feelings.
