Hello my lovelies!

As I promised, I am back with Part II of this SS! :D

Now, my honest suggestion is that you read Part I again after this. Maybe then you will be able to understand more about the mystery man and you'll figure out that I wasn't bullshitting you guys. -.-

So I hope this part clears up all your confusion! Please leave some feedback about how you want the story to shape up, now that you know who the mystery man is.

Now, this part is dedicated to FingerFetish.

Because I really really miss her.

This is also dedicated to Jazmeen.

Because her feedback makes me so damn happy.

And this is also Giee.

Because she made me grin like an idiot yesterday!

Love y'all, my best-est-est readers!

----------

Asad looked around his desk in frenzy.

He couldn't remember where he had put his papers.

Technically, they were the second photocopy of his original documents.

He always made first, second and third photocopies.

Just to be safe.

And also because he was obsessed with order.

If the first photocopy had a small pencil mark, Asad would become horrified and make a second photocopy.

For a businessman like him, presentation was watchword of his enterprise. Public image mattered more than anything else in the universe. It gave people the notion that he was professional at all points of time.

From the photocopies to the biggest business deals, Asad Ahmed Khan never faltered.

Which was why he was frenzied at the moment.

The second photocopy was missing.

xxx---xxx

It was possible that he had left it at home, he concluded. He hadn't been himself this morning.

Asad sat back down on his plush chair and looked around his cabin.

Only Allah knew how long he had worked, had toiled, had starved and had sweated to build this office.

To take his family to the comfortable position they were in today.

At least financially.

He never begged, though. That was against his nature. He had too much self-respect to beg.

He could hear the hush-hush of his lobby from his cabin, his employees typing away at their computers and taking phone-calls with their clients.

This was his thing. Office work made him so happy, that often it disturbed him how abnormal he was.

He gave himself a pat on the back. Despite the short notice given by his client, Mr.Mikkelsen, Asad honestly felt that his office was ready to host this bigshot from Amsterdam.

Mr.Mikkelsen was friendly and warm. He had baby blue eyes that instantly put someone at ease and made them feel incredibly welcome.

Asad never spoke to his clients about things which were not business related.

But Mr.Mikkelsen, unfortunately loved to speak about things which were not even remotely close to the business.

Such as Asad's penchant for working out, his facial hair and his, in Mr.Mikkelsen's words, "bubbly" sister.

But Mr.Mikkelsen was too big a client for Asad to risk anything by being rude to him. Besides, Asad's family loved him to bits because of all the chocolate and perfumes he showered on the ladies.

Asad never let his clients meet his family. It was against his working code.

But Mr.Lars Mikkelsen had wormed his way through and met the family. And made moves on them.

But Asad had to admit that when it came to the business, Lars was a professional to the T. His warm face and his sly smile were genuine, but he was a meticulous and intelligent businessman.

In fact, that's why Asad liked him.

Because he knew what he was talking, at the end of the day.

But at the moment, Asad really wanted to drive a stake into his heart.

Asad gently wiped his office desk once again with a dry cloth. He could have sworn he saw some dust there.

Asad thought about the call that had come this morning. The call that had made him want to physically hurt Lars Mikkelsen.

Asad had been enjoying his not so peaceful breakfast with the entire family.

And we all knew what breakfast meant.

Breakfast = Fight with Zoya

Dilshad and Najma had been unsuccessfully trying to stop their pointless argument about Zoya's never-ending search for her father and Tanveer had been trying to calm him down.

But all their efforts were futile.

Zoya and him were like a chess game.

They were constantly making subtle as well as obvious moves against each other. Constantly, one of them was trying to out do the other, trying to confuse and hurt the other. And ultimately, there would be one winner in their game. One final move that would knock the other senseless.

Asad hoped that he wouldn't be the person who made that move. Simply because, he was apparently gifted with an attitude that hurt Miss. Farooqui.

Yet, in this endless game of confusion between him and Miss. Farooqui, Asad knew that things had changed between them.

And deep down, Asad just wished that this weren't a game.

That what he and Zoya had was something real.

Asad put the cloth down and ran a hand through his hair. He had to stop thinking about Zoya! Nowadays, it was almost as if someone had planted a post-it note in his brain which said, "Associate every single thing on this earth with Zoya Farooqui"

Which was exactly what he did.

He couldn't stop thinking about her. Every small thing reminded him of her, of her smile, her weird clothing, her messiness and her tacky shayari's.

Asad's mind went back to this morning where had been arguing with her at the kitchen table.

During their heated argument, Asad suddenly found himself forgetting the very purpose why he had been arguing with her.

He was appalled at the power she held over him.

He hated to say it, but she made him forget.

Forget everything he had ever been and everything that he wanted to be.

Instead, she made him want to seek someone.

In specific, she made him want to seek her.

And in his inner conflict about how he felt for her, she had somehow won their argument and started jumping up and down in glee.

Which was how she had spilled, albeit unknowingly, water all over his suit.

His suit.

His fury knew no bounds. In a split second, he went back to Asad mode and started yelling at her.

Asad sighed, he had wanted to take the day off today, not come to work at all. He had wanted to take his mother and sister out. Just the three of them.

Not even Tanveer.

He just wanted the three of them to spend some quality time together.

So you could imagine his agitation on looking at his phone after breakfast!

He realized that he had 20 missed calls from a certain Mr. Lars Mikkelsen.

He called back at once in panic, he remembered sending an out-of-office e-mail to all his clients.

He was beyond surprised when Lars picked up the phone in one ring and told him that he was

in Bhopal for the day.

God had something against him. Why else would he ensure that a client all the way from Amsterdam came to visit him, that too on the one holiday he took after a millennium?!

But Asad couldn't say no, of course he couldn't. That would be too unprofessional.

Mr.Mikkelsen had assured him that this was a "friendly" and not a business visit. But Asad knew better than to be unprepared.

He left his house in a flat five minutes ignoring the disappointment and annoyance in his mother and sister's features. He had wanted this day to be with his family as much as they did.

But could you blame him? The situation with Lars was truly unfortunate.

But Asad was always stuck true to his name.

He was unfailingly the lion. Ready for any situation, with confidence and strength.

He had reached the office by early-afternoon and prepped up all his employees about the impending visit. He couldn't leave a stone unturned even if this visit wasn't business-oriented.

A client was a client. They were responsibly for the success of his business and they would always be treated like they were the most important beings that walked the earth.

'Damn it, where did I put that photocopy?' he thought to himself.

He now realized, with dismay that he although he had taken two photocopies, he had brought only one to the office.

He had probably left the other at home, in his rush to reach the office.

He made up his mind to call Prasad and tell him to pick it up from home right away.

Asad finally stopped wiping his desk and he collapsed into his chair. He surveyed the office cabin. He was finally satisfied. This room was ready for Mr. Lars Mikkelsen.

Asad looked at the clock in his room and closed his eyes. Just for a minute.

In half-hour, Mr. Mikkelsen would be here.

And hopefully, by the evening, he would be back home.

So much for that one holiday.

Just as he was lounging for just one minute, he heard his cabin door open.

xxx---xxx

The mystery man took slow and sure steps to the owner, Asad Ahmed Khan's cabin. He had successfully made Asad's receptionist believe that he belonged to some Mikkelsen party.

But the truth was that he had nothing to do with this Mikkelsen business.

He was here to talk to Asad on an entirely different matter.

He just hoped that Asad would listen to him.

He could see his friend now and strangely enough, Asad was lounging in his chair. He seemed to be sleeping but on closer introspection, he was fidgeting like hell.

He was probably just resting for a minute, the stranger concluded.

He felt sorry for Asad.

He was going to ruin his five minutes of rest on a busy day by barging into his office and going ballistic on him.

"But what needs to be done, has to be done." He muttered to himself.

With decisive strength, he gently opened the cabin door.

xxx---xxx

"Prasad. . ." Asad muttered, his eyes still closed.

He had heard the cabin door opening, which probably meant that his secretary Prasad was in the room.

"Prasad. . ." he muttered again, rubbing his eyes, "How many times have I told you not to enter without knocking?"

Asad buried his head in his palm. He hadn't yet made the effort to look at his secretary. This was highly uncharacteristic of him, to enter in such a manner.

Then again, Prasad probably thought he had been sleeping.

Asad frowned. Why hadn't Prasad answered him?

Asad ran his hands all over his face one last time, trying to freshen up.

He opened his eyes saying, "Prasad, why'"

Asad reeled back in shock.

"Ya Allah." He said in astonishment.

Asad leaned back in his seat and looked thoroughly at the man who had just entered his office.

Who was definitely not Prasad.

To say he was surprised would be an understatement.

He hadn't seen this man in such a long time. But he had never stopped thinking of him. He was so much more than a friend to Asad, almost like a brother.

Asad looked at the man's captivating eyes, which seemed to mock his surprise and his smirk that was firmly settled on his face.

"I- -" he started.

But he couldn't say anything. He got up from his seat and looked at the man. He breathed deeply and let of a short laugh at their similarity in apparel.

The both of them had always had a thing for suits.

But those were just one of the many things they had in common.

The man leaned back against Asad's cabin door and stared at him, waiting for a reaction.

Asad looked at him and whispered, "You were in my prayers this morning."

The man looked at him and gave him a genuine smile.

"You were in my wife's prayers this morning."

"And yours?" Asad asked with a smile.

"Always." He replied with a nod.

"How is she? Your wife, I mean." Asad asked suddenly. He was still so bewildered by the sudden appearance of this gentleman.

"I'll tell you all about her once you let me enter your room, Asad." The man replied with a laugh.

Asad flushed. Yes, he actually did.

He couldn't believe he had forgotten his manners.

So he ushered his friend inside his cabin and told him, "I'm so sorry, I forgot my manners! Come right in."

The man walked in with effortless style and said, "For a minute there, I thought you would say that you forgot me."

They were now face to face. Asad looked at him from head to toe. Marriage hadn't changed this man physically. It was evident that he was still passionate about Tai-Chi. His body was still toned and his dressing style was still polished.

But his eyes, they gave it all away.

He now looked like a father.

Asad didn't know why, but he just did.

His eyes, which earlier always seemed to have concealed some unknown anguish, now looked at peace.

Asad thumped his friend hard on the back and proclaimed, "You're flattering yourself. You know that it's almost impossible to forget you, Maan Singh Khurana."
