We all hum and sing mitwa all the time. It's our ringtone or in my case, alarm.
But I don't know one thing. What does Mitwa actually mean?
Can somebody please tell me because I am half from india and half from UK. So sometimes for me it's hard to comprehend Hindi/Urdu stuff.
I understand that ishq pe zor nahi means not pushing to hard on love. Is that right? I asked my Indian friend. Even she didn't know the meaning of mitwa.

so i searched for the meaning:

i got few answers like:
1.Mitwa is traditionally used to denote beloved or loved one

2.Mitwa means a soul mate in English

Mitwa is used to address someone whom you are in love with

Ishq pe zor nahi you just cannot stop yourself from falling in love when it has to happen it will happen

Even am from the UK :) I believe it means my love? not sure even my hindi/urdu isn't so good

Yeah ishq pe zor nahi means you dont have control over your love and it just happens. As they say pyar kiya nahi jaata ho jaata hai!and mitwa is an alternate for how you address your loved one like soniye, deedar, humsafar types lol

Actually Mitwa is used call a beloved or loved one in this context. But it is also used for calling someone a dear friend.

However many say it means Dear friend.

No offence but I don't think mitwa is a word in English.
