What a beautiful episode today. Even though, predictable but extremely well executed and directed. There were symbolisms galore (I will elaborate them in the end).

Today was all about relationships. There are two kinds of relationships in the world- those that are determined by birth/society or those determined by the heart. We saw both aspects of these relationships through Zoya's story.

Zoya- Ghafoor: A relationship born out of wedlock, a love child born to a couple who were yet to give a name to their relationship. Ghafoor was forced to stay away from his love but as he mentioned, he was never unfaithful to Razia. Does that mean he married her after his relationship with Zainab (Zoya's mom?)

Ghafoor relented to societal and family pressure. When Zainab showed at the door step, Razia shunned her and when she found out about their illegitimate daughter, eliminated Zainab from their lives. Razia claims she sent Zoya to an orphanage. Ghafoor, apparently met Zoya once and that's when he gifted the music box to her. Even though he saw her briefly, it seems like he formed an affectionate bond with Zoya. It's this bond that attracted him to the music at the mosque today. He still craves for his daughter but because of societal pressure and perhaps Razia, has never bothered to find his daughter. Is it because of his love for Zoya that Ghafoor is so possessive of Humeira? Somewhere deep down, he has this guilt of abandoning his own flesh and blood?

Humeira also seems to have some mysterious illness. Does that mean Zoya will save her sister's life in the future? A bone marrow transplant from a sibling??

Razia might have killed that 'dor' that bound Ghafoor and Zoya, but will she be able to keep them apart forever?

Zoya-Asad: So my prayers were heard. I really wanted Asad, instead of Zoya, to have that dream and I am glad the creative listened. Asad-Zoya relationship is a relationship of the heart. There is no blood or society to bond them. Therefore, it's one of the purest and highest forms of human relationships. Even though Asad has tried to stay away, shun her, humiliate her, her tears and grief couldn't contain the surge of emotions in Akdu Ahmed's heart. Just like Dilshaad's tears make him 'kamzor,' Zoya's tears melt away his resolve to stay away from her. Even though he couldn't act on his emotions, for me, his intention was enough to forgive all his past misgivings. She moves him like no other woman can. I am sure once he has accepted his love for Zoya, he will be her biggest support system.

Symbolisms:

Zoya-Ghafoor scene:

1. The music box attracted Ghafoor to Zoya: The father and daughter will get drawn to each other because of their mutual love for each other

1. The music stops when she closes the box: This is the time when they recognize each other but the music stops because Ghafoor refuses to acknowledge her?

1. Zoya walks towards her father while Ghafoor stays still with chin up in the air: Zoya will try her best to reach out to her dad but he will stay adamant because of his false sense of pride and ego.

1. The picture falls from Zoya's hand: Her image/stature of her dad will come crashing down for her because he is a hypocrite?

1. Zoya bends down at his feet to pick the photograph and walks past him: She reconciles, gathers her memories, takes his blessings and then walks away.

1. He looks back after she walks away: Once Zoya leaves him he will try to look back at her.

So, I feel that Zoya-Ghafoor story will take a while to resolve. That means there is a lot of pain in Zoya's life in the near future.

Asad-Tanveer-Zoya scene:

1. As Asad imagines himself consoling Zoya, Tanveer interrupts him- Very obvious symbolism here. As Asad is about to reveal his feelings for Zoya, Tanveer will interrupt and take him away from Zoya

1. Tanveer walks past Asad after saying goodnight- they show her stride in between Asad and Zoya but then she disappears: Good sign there. Tanveer will come between them temporarily but leave after a short while. The last scene had Asad staring at Zoya while Zoya was still oblivious and upset. Asad will always be her support system and watch out for her whenever she is in crisis.

That's it for today. I will watch this episode a few times because I just loved the execution, acting and direction.

There were a few beautiful moments, especially the scene between Asad and Zoya. No matter how much he tries to push her away and is in denial mode, he just melts at the sight of her tears. There is this comfortable familiarity, an unspoken bond between them which will become much stronger in due course of time.
