STAGE 4: UNCONDITIONAL ACCEPTANCE

This is the stage where Rashid and Dilshaad's love story is at the present moment.

'Wo saath nahin hain, lekin judaa bhi tho nahin hain' That remark by Ayaan says it all.

Rashid and Dilshaad have accepted their fate but haven't forgotten or stopped loving each other. Despite betraying her trust years ago, Dilshaad still loves him unconditionally. She hasn't gotten into another relationship; she has forgiven Rashid and is now ready to fight with the world to prove his innocence. This is the ultimate stage of love, almost spiritual akin to love for the almighty. There is no expectation; just pure unconditional love for your soul mate.

As a viewer, this is going to be the most painful stage for all of us. Asad and Zoya would have accepted that they love each other immensely but because of various circumstances (only known to the creatives), they will have to stay apart.

This is the stage where they might even say 'qubool hai' to their respective fates, but never stop loving each other. They will pray for each other's happiness, protect each other whenever possible, defend each other and crave for each other. They might not be together physically but would be inseparable at a spiritual level.

This doesn't mean that their love story will remain incomplete. I am sure they will finally unite but only after having gone through this final stage of unconditional acceptance.

So, let's enjoy this journey with Asad and Zoya. Theirs is an epic love story in the making. We have rooted for them from day one, have laughed and cried with them but now we have to give them our unconditional support because no matter what, they are soul mates and are meant for each other.

i agree with ur points for the first three stages of love...but bheegi do u think if at all they end up in marrying someone else,still their love story will become EPIC...as far as i am concerned NOOO... it cannot... for me unconditional acceptance is a person should be ready to accept their opposites... in this case where asad is concerned he has some conditions for his would-be love of life... but as far zoya is concerned when she realizes that she is in love with asad... she would be ready to accept as he is... and that is unconditional love...

And always u can win ur fate by intelligence...(i.e. ) by taking right decision at the right time.. U definitely don't have to say YES where u have to say NO...

OUr zoya is brave she can even runaway from her Nikaah n wht not. If they don't want to confess thru out their lifetime... FINE... but how could they marry another person and tell them that i am not ready for any physical relationship with u and so on..for how long they could stay away. wht if they r again attracted to that so called spouse of theirs... obiviously by time they will fall for them if they are very very geniune...RIGHT... if this is wht to happen then do you think people call their (ASAD n ZOYA) love story as as EPIC ... NOT AT ALL... it would be named as their fisrt crush or something...

we cannot relate AsYa with RaShad as they are a married couple unlike our AsYa...

Thanks Roger. I think Asad is a master at suppressing his desires and thoughts. If he had not expressed his desires during the bhaang scene, would we have known that he dreams about Zoya? That's why the dargah scene has never been replayed for us...it's hidden somewhere in his denial center of the brain...which by the way is a big center in his case

There is something really unique about their journey despite having the cliched love-hate relationship as its theme..Asad has unconsciously made a lot of exceptions for Zoya and learnt to tolerate her while Zoya, despite her fiery and independent nature is always so accommodating and ready to melt into a puddle the moment Asad apologises.

yeah, that's their internal conflict. Despite the fact that they despise these features about each other, they are willing to tolerate them just because of this inexplicable attraction towards each other.

.Its endearing to see that they have learnt to accept eachother with all their flaws.,Now coming to the realisation, even here its Asad who realised his feelings long back while Zoya remained oblivious to them..But Asad, due to his preconceived notions and twisted image of what is perfect for him preferred to live in denial..That was beautifully reflected through the 'misfit' comment..Its almost like his mind is trying hard to look for excuses to prevent his heart from taking the plunge..Asad knows Zoya has a flawless heart, finds her endearing, adores her, knows she would be the best person to care of his ammi, doesn't mind her quirks anymore and feels extremely protective about her yet due to his regressive mentality and the impact of his own traumatic childhood, puts in all the effort to restrain himself..It does take a lot out of him put up the facade.

He is one guy whose heart and mind are completely out of sync.

.Thats the reason why he says the meanest of things to Zoya despite being very well behaved to all other characters..Thats his desperate attempt to conceal his feelings..He'd rather hurt Zoya than let his emotions overpower him..Its only a matter of time before his self-control snaps, he understands the futility of his attempts and realises that his stupid ideologies are worthless in front of his love for Zoya..Thats when Asad will fall irrevocably and unconditioanlly in love with Zoya.
