Miss Zoya is not good enough for Asad?

How about Mr. Asad Khan is not good enough for our Miss Zoya? Goodness, I do not know were Asad Khan comes of thinking he's such a hot shot that she's not good enough for him...so when Tanveer deceives him I hope he gets a good kick up the backside when it comes to that reality check. What a pompous fool.

Granted Zoya does things that irk him but often she does what his mother wants - now is that not what a good daughter-in-law does? She is doing what she can to make his mother happy; she is fulfilling her every wish from stalling Asad, not putting the court papers in his room, not fighting with her over Mariyam returning to the house and to even refusing to testify against Rashid.

And then, Miss Farooqui even manages the household, makes sure Asad's mother is well taken care off; that she is fed, her medicines provided for her on a regular basis. She even takes care of Najma and makes that dark and bitter coffee for Asad.

And then she knows the whole family business but you never see her grabbing the phone and babbling all the family matters to her own sibling or to anyone else; she respects their privacy and does all she can to support them. She never plays the family against each other (she never tells on Dilshaad what she asked her to do with the court papers and bears Asad's wrath) and provides them with the emotional strength they need during a difficult time (think of how she builds Asad's spirits up after he is broken and defeated following the slap by his mother and her anger towards him when he turns his father into the police). And then to top it off, she does everything she can to track down Asad's mother's killer. Even putting herself at risk.

She has supported Asad's cousin Miriam, protected Najma from bad guys - twice and never told Asad the truth at her request. Zoya has kept Najma's secret about her bad hair problem and even tried to get her a wig to wear so Asad would not find out.

She goes out of her way to help people without a care for herself and carries a smile on her face never bothering people about her own problems when she deep down is very lonely and suffering with her own problems.

Zoya has a delightful personality - she's funny, witty and smart and she knows karate and is not afraid to stand up for herself or anyone else for that matter. She does not fear to stand for the truth...qualities that most girls on desi dramas rarely possess and as Rockerchic pointed out she has great hair. Plus she is religious when the time comes...She carries herself with dignity, never throwing herself at a guy including Asad even after she sees his six packs. 😉

And then, she even forgives Asad for his bullying and berating behavior including his manhandling of her and the horrible slap for which I am still waiting to hear a better apology as something he did was wrong period.

Seriously, the only problem for Asad is she wears jeans, is loud and recites some really bad (but funny) poetry. So what?

Poor Asad, he does not see the wonderful gem in front of him...all he sees is a rude girl who has no manners and tacky dress sense. It's going to take him a while to wake up and look behind these superficial qualities before he can see these wonderful gifts that Zoya possess.

In the meantime, if Asad decides to turn her down, I'd be glad to introduce her to a a cousin-brother of mine😆

Hey nice post😊 The problem is not with Asad thinking too highly of himself..He already knows Zoya is selfless and has a flawless heart..But his preconceived notions and illusion of what is perfect for him prevents him from acknowledging his feelings..Even his 'misfit' comment reflected the ongoing tussle between his dil and dimaag..His heart cant stop adoring Zoya despite her bathameezi and his brain is trying to conjure up all possible excuses however silly they might be to prevent him from taking the plunge..The guy is definitely good at heart but is damaged and needs a lot of psychological healing and most definitely a reality check..Thats precisely where this track is headed..Hope it isn't too late in the day I mentioned earlier about how this track may begin with Asad's belief that Zoya doesn't deserve to be his wife but it may end with him feeling that he isn't worthy of being Zoya's husband..This is when the whole sacrifice track may play out

Hey most awaited post by me... i wish Asad Khan could read it and get some sense... he is really a judgmental person who guess person's nature from her dressing sense... i just wish Tanveer gives him right class and he may come to know just dress not make a person but its heart that make it...

Excellent points and observations. I like the idea that he might see she's good but despite all these qualities he still does not think she is good enough and that's rather arrogant of him to say this as it really does look down on a person to say that she is not good enough to be his wife or the daughter-in-law of anyone's household...and that's the stance I took. I fear you are right and that he will turn her away again thinking he is not good enough breaking her heart a second time.

Lol!! Awesome ending to this superb post 😉 😆
Even I would like to have a bhabhi like her (if I had an brother)
Zoya is just plain awesome!

Coming back to the entire post,
I just have to say one thing...

I love you girl!! 🤗 😃 (in a non-lesbian way ofcourse 😉 )

Seriously you read my mind about Zoya!
I agree with each and every word! You have described Zoya more beautifully than I could ever.
She is a girl who has her faults but you can never ever overlook all the goodness in her character just for a few small flaws! No one is perfect, not even perfectionist AAK. I could make a list of his flaws that would make him the most misfit husband for many girls.
But love doesn't mean that, You dont reject a person or label them misfit for a few flaws because we aren't perfect ourselves to expect others to be too.

And also I would like to add, WHAT is SO bad about Zoya for him? Really?
She doesn't hang out with guys, she doesn't go out too late into the night (like say after 12), there are many other bad stuff girls nowadays can do but Zoya has never done so...Yet he deems her to be as bad as those girls.

Seriously I dont buy his misfit excuse, I really can't see what is all that horribly misfit about Zoya. He has seen how much she has done after his mother got shot and yet he think he wont be a good wife or bahu?

Frankly, He just does not want to fall in love aand end up like his parents thus all these silly reasons.

I love you too 🤗 And glad you liked the post! Yep, I hope Gul does justice with this track. I really want to see Asad sweeping her off her feet...I just want to be super romantic and Zoya trying to resits his charms and eventually falling head over heels in love with him. We need to see stuff like that on Indian TV - we really never even see a guy taking a girl out on date.

well said 👏, Asad has typecasted the perfect girl for him, one who doesn't talk loud, isn't so liberal in all aspects of life. he needs to wake up and realize you can;t judge a book by its cover. That's why I against Asad and Zoya, because usually after a couple gets together, one of them (usually the girl) changes their personality completely. And I don't want to see Zoya changing, maturing yes but no changing her outspoken demeanour. Ayaan and Zoya complement each other and neither have to change in order to be in a happy fun-filled relationship.

Yup! I would love to see Asad making the effort to woo her...:-D
I want to see Mr.AAK's style of romance ;-) The rain sequence was just a glimpse of his romantic side.

But frankly its hard for me to imagine the guy going after her! We have only seen him till now pushing her away everytime, controlling himself and being in denial 24/7... it will be interesting to see what will happen when he makes up his mind to make Zoya his. 😳

Zoya is already head over heels in love with him but I feel when he starts pursuing her, She'll be the one putting distance between them.

Indian telly's definition of date is rather... uhm unrealistic in my opinion :-p or VERY expensive.
I mean, in many shows the hero books some extravagant mansion, fills it up with red balloons everywhere then has a special candel light dinner date and all that

I dont remember the last time I saw a NORMAL dinner date on tv.

Edit: Actually I do remember, Rishta.com and Mahi way had the most normal romantic dates on indian telly.

The tussle between his heart and mind. He probably thinks this every night he dreams of her.

Classic denial... It's his way of telling himself she's not for him, she won't fit into his 'plan'.

Please note: he's the sort to let his head rule his heart.

@Laila-Thanks😊 I understand your frustration with Asad but i genuinely feel the guy needs time..He has actually come a long way and its only a matter of time before he is fully transformed..But the question is whether life would give him a second chance by the time the realization dawns on him We have already seen how Asad is paranoid about love cos he feels he might hurt the girl just like his father..This combined with his guilt may force him to push Zoya towards Ayaan as he might be convinced that he is not good enough for her
