Well not quite summer yet - maybe Spring? 😆
Today's episode was full of scorching hot moments and bittersweet words.
While it's true that AsYa, under the influence of bhaang, were able to reveal their inner most thoughts to each other it also brought to light their state of minds... neither of them are close to fully understanding or better yet accepting love in their lives.
If you were to add up their identical paternal deprivation, near death experiences and now almost sole emotional support for each other I'm surprised they haven't already tied the knot but marriage to them isn't really about that yet. They both are still holding on to their ideas of perfection.
They aren't wrong in their thinking but what will shock the cooties out of them is when they realize that what they want isn't at all what they NEED.
The Fates are tricky like that 😉
Asad can identify what he's feeling but isn't ready to accept Zoya because he thinks she's a few fries short of a Happy Meal and so very, very, very far off his radar. He needs to learn to value Zoya's presence in his life in order for him to even begin to understand his love for her.
Zoya thinks Asad is dictator incarnate and can never support her forward thinking. Zoya cannot put a name to her feelings yet either so she may be way behind the eight ball when it comes to love too. She recognizes Asad as part of her strength now and it remains to be seen that after this encounter with Tanveer if she will disassociate herself from that equation or throw caution to the wind and fight for what her heart has unknowingly has claimed as hers - Asad.
These two each have their own bridge to cross when it comes to matters of the heart. They are still on different paths but once they are both aligned - its time for fireworks baby - yeah!
I would prefer not to see Zoya and Ayaan married for any ridiculous reason because from the very first episode when Zoya was praying she said "Allah you know how important marriage is for me" and I would very much like it if the CV's atleast held the sanctity of the prayer in tact.
Ayaan could be Zoya's support through this phase while she can be his in the realization of his feelings for Humeira. They can be best friends - just not husband and wife - even if it is for some frivolous reason. That one track would discredit everything this show has worked so hard to achieve.
I have quite high hopes for my dear AsYa. I want them to appreciate the value of each other's qualities. I want to watch them grow emotionally and realize their feelings for each other. I want them to crave the other when they are alone or even in a crowd, I want them to both arrive at that singular point where life means nothing without the other and then I want to see them overcome every single obstacle in their path just to get to each other - bar none.
So as Ayaan a.k.a. Puck a.k.a. Pyasi Aatma - 😆 comes out to remind us what we all saw today was a 'dream' and that we're about to come back to reality, I selfishly want both Asad and Zoya to remember the entire night and for the rain to drive them back into each others arms.
Maybe then I'll get another hot rain scene like today until then... 💔
