First of all, welcome abroad. It's good to make your acquaintance.

First why are you watching this show ...For KSG or for 4 Lions or for Surbhi or for the Concept of the show or AsYa jodi or for all the reasons combined ? 😳

Unlike a lot of the members, my plan was never to watch QH or to even frequent this forum. For a long time I had hoped to see a show actually have Muslim characters; this show didn't just have a supporting cast who were Muslim but the lead characters were all going to be Muslim. I was intrigued and wondered how the channel, PH would handle the show. I knew nothing about 4Lions - had just glanced at their previous show and it did not interest me, and didn't even know who Karan Singh Grover was or that he was the lead of the show. In fact I had no idea who was the lead for a few weeks😆 What did prompt me to watch the show as well is I had exchanged several emails in the past with the creative director of the show (at that time she was creative director of another show) and was very impressed with her work. She definitely had a flair for comedy and knew how to create chemistry between two characters. When I read the synopsis on Zeetv's website, I was very confused and didn't want to get too engrossed in the show and get let down. Most shows start of very well, and then three months later the show falls flat and disappoints.

The jodi of Asad and Zoya actually grew on me over time; for me the overall show also piqued my interest. Along with good writing (nearly half my friends are writers), good acting is also vital and Alka K's performances simply fascinated me. I absolutely adore her and was pleasantly surprised to learn she was the elder sister of another very talented actor - Varun Badola, who happened to be the lead (although some will argue) of another show that the CV had been responsible for in the past.

Second what type of positive changes you will want to witness in this forum in terms of various Contests , Activities and Discussions ?? 😳

For me the previous moderator has failed miserably in destroying the opportunity to engage in health discussions and forced several members to isolated threads rather than allow a diversity of thought. Shows attract a wide variety of people; some love a show and blindly watch it for entertainment and don't care. While others enjoy a show but there are issues that irk them and would like to discuss those with others. When people open a thread to discuss an issue that is not to the liking of the other person, it should be taught to respect diverse ideas. I often find some members expressing their POV as facts and then shoving them down the throats of others without much respect. Then I find others insulting and then apologizing at the end when their post clearly shows they are being rude. And then we find others tragically apologizing for even coming forward with an idea. I believe that there should be a section on this forum educating members how to write a post in order to get their ideas across. There should also be educational threads teaching people "how do you handle it when you come across a critique of your show?" or a thread to teach members "how to avoid confusing critiquing with bashing." IF has 60,000 plus members but there is very little interactive dialogue because moderators cater to those who complain when the slightest issue offends them. I've seen that all to often by a majority of moderators.

Having moderated a forum over 10 years ago and actually received death threats where I had to make a police report, I understand the challenges faced. Moderators should learn to allow dialogue to be exchanged and address those who are actually engaging in cyberbullying. Unfortunately moderators never speak up - something which I have yet to see happen as i have been on the receiving end of a lot of it having held on to a minority viewpoint.

Third what are the issues that you feel Dev team needs to handle and they r still pending ? 😊

I was horrifically appalled and disgusted with the previous moderator's handling of the topic of that which shall not be mentioned. The subject of gratuitous and unnecessary violence on a particular episode of the show offended some of the people on this forum. However, our threads were simultaneously ended. Many of us engaged in mature conversations on the matter and while we endured a considerable amount of rudeness and cyber bullying, our threads were closed. Then the moderator put up one of the most distasteful and most biased and immature posts I have yet to see in my time as a member of this forum. This post told people to get an issue of concern "out of their system" if they were unhappy with it, and snapped at them to move on. The moderator then minimized their concerns by telling them "it's only a show" and they can longer discuss the issue as it pertains to them. This really did irk me. Had the Dev team wanted to end all discussions on the topic, a simply post could have been put in place, but to say these things to the members who were unhappy with what the show had portrayed and then to close threads that voiced these concerns because the majority were happy and then mock and taunt those who were very disappointed in how the show had handled the matter by telling them to "get it out of their system" really disgusted me. Moderators should not show partiality to other members even if it is the majority opinion and each sentence that this post had was lifted from those who had spoken out against our thread. I later learned that the moderator in question actually did not view slapping as a form of abuse. Under these circumstances, it is clear to me why this partiality was shown and this should not happen.

The precap today again shows the lead actor manhandling the female lead; we have posts that joke how they are in close proximity but we won't be allowed to have those who find this bothersome and disturbing? Unfair. If people want to open posts turned on by this, that's fine, but we also have to be allowed to have posts/threads that are not happy with the male characters continued aggression and if the PH is doing this for entertainment purposes or actually have a purpose behind it. I don't see this as a bashing post but one that opens up discussion and dialogue. It is those who are unable to see beyond a discussion that will always have a problem with these posts.

Fourth Many times Mods might b on leave or busy with exams .. During that time .. we will need your co-operation to keep peace and unity of a forum intact .. Are u guys ready for it ? 😳 ...

When the moderator was absent for her exams, I actually found this forum to be rich in ideas and diversity and thinking. We have a lot of people here who are mature and can police this forum extremely well. Unfortunately, a lot of the strong and healthier people have left this place because the only discussions allowed here. Don't get me wrong, I love to drool over KSG's six pack, and the more I see on the show the better, but I do want to engage in a more cerebral level with some excellent and very smart and talented members on this forum.

Fifth
for activities like DOTW-GOTW and various Contests ... We will love to have volunteers from our members themselves .. You guys can always PM us and volunteer for any contest that you want in forum ... Are u guys ready for it ? .. 😳

I do not come here for this, so no commenting.

Sixth and last question... Any other suggestion or feedbacks you want to give us feel free 😳

Whatever I post I open here, gets emailed to the creative director and sometimes director of the show. If she has not been ugly with me, then I do not know why there is cause for anyone else.

Let me add, I was once on a forum and crtiqued a show and many members, including the moderator at that time, the late Raksha Shah (I even had her personal phone number and we talked several times), was very upset with me. It was my disappointment with the show that eventually lead to us falling out as I put up posts speaking out against what I saw. It was one of the first times IF had seen someone actually say they didn't like what they saw...many people were upset. Later, the director of the show and I talked...he had left the show for EXACTLY the same reasons that I had posted on the forum. I practically fell out my chair when he agreed with everything I said! It was very validating to me. I want to point out, I was never rude to other members of that forum and made many friends who are still friends with me today. I eventually had others come forward who started to see similar concerns and eventually, even Raksha herself had to agree that perhaps, I was right in the end.

I also want to add, just because someone is criticizing, doesn't mean that they hate a show, want it to end etc. The fact I spend time here to voice an opinion is I would like to see improvement because there is still hope for that change. If I didn't care for a show, why would I even spend five minutes watching it or wasting my time saying anything about it? That's something moderators and this forum really need to help others learn. 😊

Thanks for hearing what I have to say.

HI Jyoti, welcome to the forum, glad to have you on board!🤗
Since you've given us this opportunity to be honest and open about things related to the show and the forum,I am going to do just that,be very open, honest and blunt to the point and hope that no offense is taken by you or ayone on here!
I first started watching the show,a month down the line as I heard that KSG was on it and me being a fan of his previous work and show DMG so really wanted to see what he has got to offer here as I thought he done a fab job in DMG and had great chemistry with all three of his leading ladies. Also the I was more intrigued by the Muslim concept as this was the first time on India TV we were getting an all Muslim based show and me being Muslim myslef further intrigued me to see how creatives go on about the portrayal of the religion and culture, also being a fan of the previous For Lions show, only further added to my excitement and anticipation of on going on to watch this new venture by the production house.
Also I didn't know who Surbhi was and found out that she was debuing for the frist time on Indian TV and I must say I was pleasantly surprised by her acting talent and and took a great liking to the character Zoya straigt away as her character skecth was very different to that of other female leads. Her strong, vivacious, bubbly, outspoken, kind hearted nature just won my heart and I was generally impressed with the show on the whole.
A month and a half down the line I decided to join the QH forums and was very happy with the hearty welcome that I recieved on here,so all was going well till two weeks ago when an incident happened on the show involving the lead pair,in where the male lead was shown to carry out an act of violence against the female lead.Dnt know if I am allowed to use the word here so am going to try keep it as discreet as possible😃.I wasn't happy with what was shown and neither were quite few of us on here, hence went onto make threads on expressing our views of constructive criticism, general concern and dislike of what was shown and what message is being sent out to the audience, the inpressionable minds, especially since it was being shown through the actions of the male lead who everone, be it on this show or any other show for that matter tend to worship and idolise and see as role models.
As soon as our view points were put forth and expressed the forum turned into a battle field overnight.
We had member's coming oto those threads to not only justify thsi act of violnece but also to verbally attack, mock and taunt us and even went as far as to accuse us of coming from other forums intentionally to disrupft the harmony of this froum by spreading negativity by tring to ruin the show for them and some went as far as to even say that we wre trying to have the show taken off air.We had multiple threads being opened by these member's too, to directly attack mock and taunt us further thorugh sarcastic, petty humour and when these threads got closed down some even went as far as to insult us further more through pm's.Whatever thread we went onto open after that to express our views, was only reported and closed down in within a very short span of time by the mods, when threads on mocking us and taunting us were still allowed to remain open .
When asked for explanations over pms as to why this unfairnes and discrmination, one mod in particular didn't even bother to reply back to us...not going to take any names on here but I'm sure they know who they are!Favoritism clearly played a big part for this instance.
Now I ask you,was this fair, and was this the way to go on about it all?
Does IF not allow freedom of speech,or the right to give constructive criticism towards the betterment of a show?
Are we not allowed to have civil healthy discussions and debates on anything that is shown.
Is only drooling and singing praises of the male lead and couple allowed, with only the right to open multiple threads on the same topic of only oohing and aahing over the love angle in the show?
Why is is that only threads opened by the older popular members are given more importance, regardless of the content on it
Also no offense but there are member's on here who are endorsing and promoting the show through sheer manipulation and brainwash and insistency to see it like they do!
Are we not even allowed to have an opinion or take on it for ourselves?
Why was it allowed for certain threads of the nature of verbal abuse towards us allowed to stay open when all our threads of having a civil discusssion, minus any snide,or sarcastic remarks towards anyone else not alowed to and were closeed down instantly?
In these last two weeks have become wary and concious of opening any thread as they don't get received well and only go onto getting closed down.
Now why should we be made to feel this way and why should we be put in isolation from the rest and forced onto one thread?
Why should we be put in isolation for having differing view points and why should this groupism and bullying take place?
It is not necessary for all to have the same views or agree on the same or feel the same about what is shown on the show as not everything is to an individuals palate
Why cnt people if not agree but just learn to repect opposing views?
Anyway I am going to rest my case here as I know some on here will think and accuse me again for spreading negativaty, but I have merely been honest and, like you said to be open, that is just what I've done, been open!
My sincere, humble request to you Jyoti, is to, please take a look into the matter as it would be thoroughly appreciated and hope your time on here is a pleasant one!
Thankyou!
Shaz

Jyoti welcome on board..
Have read your posts on Punar Vivah and some other old Sony shows. I didnt have account so never commented on one..
I have always appreciated your optimism and possitivity even when things were low. Love you for that, we viewers forget the difference between fictional and non fictional very often and forget the writers and directors projects what we expect from them only..
You are much needed on this forum😉 Would love your comment on daily basis..
As for me, I love Qubool Hai the whole ensamble. Bhopal, Muslim BG and each and evry character. Everyone is just awesome to watch and story is very crisp, with minimum flaws. They have justified the characters very well..
Again big warm welcome..

And are topic maker's intentions taken into acct or just the wording of the post is all that is and will be taken into consideration?😳

I think the recent such topic was the slap fiasco .. right 😆😳

One thing I will like to mention here is that members need to remember that if a certain character's action is criticised in the show , then it should not b mistaken as actor bashing ... A healthy debate is always possible between two grps ..one grp who feels the character is wrong and one grp who feels the character had a reason to do what he/she did and a healthy debate without getting personal or without mocking is always possible ... If member follow this simple rule , then even if topics r a bit repitative , mods wont close it as long as debate is healthy 😊

If a certain track is 2-3 weeks old and is somewhere connected to present situation and based on that someone opens a post with a good matter , we will allow it as long as we dont see any sort of instigation or mocking or sarcasm involved in the topic ...

If a certain track is months old and has no connection to current story but member opened a post on it just to instigate fights in forum , only then we will close it ...

So the issue which memers r facing regarding freedom being curtailed , we will try our best to work on this by allowing topics on debate and stuffs but for this we need equal co-operation from members too ... if members dont get personal in such topics or mock each other trying to show their superiority , then we wont close those topics as well ...

About topic maker's intention ... Thats an important point ... as mods we will see the tone of the psot and if we feel the post genuinely wants to discuss or debate an issue relate to the show , we will allow it but if the topic maker made a post with an intention to create fights , only then it will b closed .. so as mods we will take care of this issue ... if the topic is fine but a certain member is deliberately instigating fights in that topic , then we will edit the comments of that member and warn the member , but we will make sure entire topic does not suffer because of one single member but if the whole topic is messed with almost everyone getting into fighhts , only then an overal ltopic will b closed ... It all depends on members of this forum and the maturiry with which they take the controvertial topics with a sporting spirit 😊

I went through all feedbacks and complaints ... thanks a lot for letting me know all the issues ...

Few things guys ...

Freedom of Speech is most welcome on IF ... in fact no topics will b closed from here on if u guys dont misuse the freedom of speech and start putting each other down just because one dont agree with another member's POV ... Topics get closed only we see 2 grps r nonstop trying to prove their superiority in a particular thread ... If u guys debate with sporting spirit without getting personal or taking pot shots at each other , I assure u no topic will b closed unless its too repitative 😊

Another point u all guys need to remember is that its just a daily soap .. so dont get too sensitive with few matters ... just take things in a daily soap with pinch of salt ... Criticising a character is not equal to actor bashing and Actor bashing is not equal to criticising a character .. remember this simple thing and then every topic will b fine ... When one says Asad is wrong in slapping Zoya , its Asad who is criticised and not KSG .. When one is trying to defend Asad on this matter , remember u r defending Asad and not KSG ... If we understand the difference between reel and real , no problems will ever arise ... In the end u all love AsYa and QH ..right ? some watching it for KSG while some watching it for PH while some watching it for Concept .. so difference of opinion between two individuals is normal ...Just dont get too personal in trying to prove your superiority ... Keep the debate/discussion limited to the show characters and story and then u wont hv this complain that mods r not allowing enough topics 😊...

Last but not the least , We will try to close the bashing topics as soon as we can making sure it dont go till 51 pages again 😆 but can we expect co-operation from u ... a simple co-operation .. that is hit the report button and move out of such topics without commenting ... if even after 24 hrs u see no action is taken , then u hv every right to complain 😊

phewww **wipes sweat** 😳

Any more queries .. bring it on 😆
