I agree that it was used for the cinematic aspect, there is something romantic about showing love at a spiritual place but really why dont they show other religious practices coz then QH is just another show n I dont get thw use of making itMuslim as the plot would work just as well if they were Hindus. Add some religious aspects to justify deciding too make the characters Muslims.

I agree that we do not need an intermediary to talk to Allah. Have not ever gone to maxars but saying that Muslims rarely go is wrong. A LOT of Shia Muslims go to mazars. I cross Data Ganj Baksh mazar frequently and it is always very very crowded. Especiaaly on the 3 day urs they have every year. Mazars are also very common in Iran too.

However, i think this issue is a litttllle too sensative to discuss here as people from different sects are here and some of them might be offended if their basic beliefs differ from ours. And the last topic we want to fight on is religion. :-)

PS sorry for typos. Using phone

Ughhh i know! I cringe everytime she says salaam. The pronuonciation should be correct since it is in Arabic n just the accent alone can change the meaning...

Majority(65%) of indian muslims are barelvi.
Barelvi hanafi muslims have high respect for sufi.
So many barelvi hanafi muslims go there .
Shia muslims who are 15% of indian muslims also go to dargah.

You can go to dargah to show your respect for sufi and pray for his soule.

Islam permits it.

But i clearly say you should not ask anything for youself in dargah and should not think the dead pious sufi will able to help you to fulfill your wish.
My point is you can go to dargah to show your respect for sufi and pray for his soule in dargah.
But you can't ask anything for yourself in dargah.
One should not visit dargah with the intention of any personal gain.

You should ask everything directly from allah.

I agree with you completely.
You have expressed your views very well and they are authentic as well(I don't intend to offend here the believes of people who go to mazars. It's just that I don't practice it)

You see Gul is also a Muslim and a good section on Indian Muslims believes in visiting dargahs.PH might have used dargah in the first episode to create an ambiance that can relate with the Muslim culture.
Since a small percentage of Muslims believes in visiting Mazars,we can't say that the PH is at fault.
A lot of myth is related to visiting mazars and its relation with Islam.Since Qubool Hai is a fiction and not a reality show,I think we can excuse this fact since this practice is being followed by some Muslims.

Asad offers namaz in one episode.
And zoya offers namaz in first episode.

What is the difference between a Dargah and Mosque ?
I saw a Dargah scene in many shows where Non-Muslims went to one. (Punar Vivaah, IPKKND)
Are Dargahs more open to all religions?
Just a question out of curiostity as I am Hindu and unclear of this concept
