Could not have said it better, like Zoya said yesterday Asad is emotionally challenge u have to give him time, and as we saw he is comming around, i also like how the cv is handling this redemption per say. guess the cv are not all blockheads like i thought.
These two have a complicated relation, the feelings are there give it the right tweek and it can turned into something beautiful to watch.

I've not seen today's episode, so I can't speak to what happened today.

But I did write on another thread that while Asad's initial apology wasn't ideal (how you define that is I'm afraid subjective), I did think he was sincere. I actually he thought he was apologizing for hitting her. period. No excuses.

The surprising aspect of that initial apology was Zoya's reaction...which was to deflect attention to the ammi insult...Anyway, even that I sort of understand.

As I said in that post, I believe that different people have different ways of expressing apologies. And how apologies are made and accepted will always differ between people. In Zoya and Asad's case, they seemed to have an understanding...at least thats how I read that scene.

I personally didn't want a long and drawn out guilt-ridden, groveling apology from Asad. I would not have liked Zoya to make him "suffer for what he did" either... I think that's so ...i dunno...not my thing.

In the adult world, you do something crappy, you apologize and you move on...what you did will remain with you...and thats just the mark of being human.

I don't know if that made any sense, I'll write more on apologies later this evening.

Cheers all!
Mira

*** Having said that, I wish the slap had never happened, but hey, it did.

***** So, to address the TM, mujhe apology to pehle se hi Qubool tha! 😆

Really well said. I totally agree with you. I'm really enjoying the way the CVs are developing not just Asad and Zoya's characters but also their relationship. They both started out so stubborn, thinking only their opinion was right and not being able to even have a reasonable conversation. Now, they listen to each other and dont get frustrated with each other's quirks but just accept them. The slap, though horrendous, really was a turning point in their relationship. They're not friends just yet, and certainly not in love. But dosti is coming very soon I think. And when they do fall in love, it will be beautiful and so much more believable. Asad's redemption track is really good, cos Asad comes across as a man that feels deeply so his regret should be long lasting and deep as well.
