I wonder if a slap is called violence then every time a woman slaps a man then she should also be charged for violence.

Great job!! I hope this brings about some positive effect. Its sad to see how the male lead physically abuses the female lead and then this is casually brushed away as though its no big deal... all for the sake of romance. And this seems to have become some kind of trend...
Edit: I read through a report on the BCCC website, and after reading some of the complaints that got dismissed, I think this too might be dismissed. But my skepticism aside, I still applaud those involved for atleast taking this stand and I really hope it does bring some effect.
I agree with you totally, from where this 'romanticizing the slap' came up?? The PH strictly din't give any romantic angle to it, it was shown so real horrific way that it promoted so much debate here and people call it romantic?? I don't get this at all, just because a few handful people expressed their opinion as they imagined it to be romantic doesn't mean everybody felt it romantic, I din't feel it, you din't feel it and many like us are there, then why this issue I seriously don't get. It's like you presume something and conclude that it is right, and say slap is romanticized! I don't agree with it at all.chiksoup@ don't worry show won't face the problem of shutting down, the channel will be asked to respond to the letter first, when channel is spent on the show and they are gaining good trps they will defend it.

You didn't answer the question. Can you find me a single person who said they felt good watching Zoya getting slapped. You have made that assumption, so you must have read some one.Or did you just not understand what people meant? And I mean it. You say it is not a petition..but if a rival channel pushes it...a very popular show can get shut down.Afterall, movies don't get released for the flimsiest of reasons.Yeah, I hope people don't take you seriously, but seriously there are some nutty people out there on every board. You'd know if you have dealt with Govt. organisations in India.SP made a point shutting down IPK. YOur precious board might want to make a point too.

I am sorry.I addressed you because you responded to me. You seemed to be in this thing together...' If we don't believe in freedom of expression for people we despise, we don't believe in it at all.'Who despises whom?It is more like you guys are despising the nonbashers and telling us we are romanticising violence...People who have the heart and patience to sit through what the makers are trying to tell, and the humility to know the story is safe in the maker's hands...we don't despise any one...freedom of expression is good. Don't misuse your rights and your freedom.
This is what I call heights of childishness. I cannot believe people have so much time and energy to write letters of complains to authorities concerned for a slap shown on a television show which was nothing but an impulsive action in a fit of rage. And whoever said that Asad had the " right" to slap Zoya because he feels 'haq' over her? Whoever said that the scene was supposed to romantic or the creatives were trying to glamorize violence? Show me one post that said -" wow...the slap was so romantic".
Seriously ...there are a lot of women in the real world who are victims of real domestic violence. Its high time we step out of our houses to do something for them instead of reacting over a mere fictional show.
