A guy slapped a girl and that is romantic!?! 😡 Someone saying she needed that and all! Even someone wishes to be slapped by her love?😲 Really! Grow up! When really someone will slap, then can understand!

He is not one, who is going through so much pain! Zoya has also a past! just because she can't show that in front of people, that not means she is very happy with her life!

His mother is fighting with her life, I can understand what he is going through! But slap!!

From when raising hand on a woman is romantic??!?? Plz come and tell!

Nothing gives a man the right to be physically violent!

This is sick! I can't understand what the hell writers were thinking!!?!!

Where women are already tortured by mans, everyday we can see horrible news in newpaper! Then still a hit serial is showing that guy slapping a girl!

Gul, I didn't expect this from you!!

SO GLAD to read another sane person's post regarding the HENIOUS act shown in today's episode. I am SO DISGUSTED by what's happened today, and even more appalled by some people's reactions who thought it was 'okay' and ' she deserved it'.

No offense, but f#%* you people supporting the slap. I love Zoya and hope to God she just leaves this pagal khaanaa. Leave and concentrate on finding your Father, I love you too much to stop watching the show even if there are no AsYa scenes. I don't even ship AsYa anymore.

They started with a beautiful story but nowdays it seems like writers are also confused! I love Zoya! She is a lovely girl. Always ready to help others and all! how can people hate her, I can't understand! where most of the members are girls but they are supporting all these. I so hope Zoya will leave ASad's house, i don't know why but i can't digest that still she is living in his house.

You and me both, girl. You and me both. I've always said Zoya was, is and will always remain to be the sole reason I watch QH! I don't care much for Asad's character, to be honest. As long as Zoya's in he show, you betcha I'm going to watch it. Same thing with IPK, I only watched it for Khushi, to experience HER journey as a character. I did love Arnav, but when he got violent with her, I loathed it. But this just went to a whole new level.

You are not alone - the concept of violence has been romanticized and someone even said she saw her smile when he slapped her - like it was a turn on. i have read posts saying how excited they were to see the abuse and some even calling it aggressive love and others saying it will be so romantic to see him repent and they can have all these mitawa moments.

Seriously - it is really sad to see a show resort to this level for whatever reason. Even sadder to see this is endorsed by women - just breaks my heart.

And as one viewer wrote, this is what will happen:

Shows and movies oftentimes romanticize violence against women, which is completely irresponsible on part of the maker. A few episodes down the line Asad will go through massive self-loathing and Zoya will be expected to melt into his arms, you know because mitwa, ishq par zor nahin. And I have no doubt Zoya will be all, oh I totally get you and it is okay for you to whack me, I will melt in your arms anyway. That makes this slap so much worse. And let us have no doubt that will happen.

Exactly!!!! I personally don't understand this type of love. A man cannot hit a woman no matter what, thats just totally unacceptable.
I know Dilshaad was dying but that does not give him the right 2 slap her. People here are excited for his regret but I m not, slap cannot be taken back.

Sure! Just wait for few more episodes! Asad will look at Zoya, background music "Mitwa ishq par zor nhi" Then none will even remember that he slapped her! One thing more, I can't understand why 4 lions always ready to show man abusing women, insulting and all! It's not like a man will slap a girl, there will be passion, and they will fall in love! Totally bakwaas!

Because there is an audience out there who think a man has 'haq' over you to treat you nicely and abuse you when the time is right. It's a very old style of writing popular in the 50s, 60s 70s and it was then, thanks to the women's movement in the west, ended gradually. By the 80s the whole arena of daytime television especially in the 80s changed. No film or show in the US or the west would receive any endorsement or support if the lead male character slapped a woman even if his mother was dying. it is acceptable in India and for a majority of the Indian audiences as the culture has not changed to the same degree. Until production houses have staff who think differently and are not wiling to stoop to this level for TRPs, we will continue to see slapping as romantic.

I was watching an old 1950s movie with Joan Crawford where the guy slaps her and rips her dress and she's finds this inviting and throws herself at him for a maddening kiss - after he forces himself on her...that would be unheard of today. We have learned that this is not romantic...Indian audiences - most of them - they will take time to know it is not OK...and now is not the time for it to happen. That is why this is seen as inviting and romantic.

Now Indian films have entered the western market, they refrain from this type of behavior - they were renowned for it - they know they cannot market this type of stuff anymore and are more thoughtful in how to create a romance. Audiences drive the change but we do not have enough of a group to make it happen.
