i agree that he was sad & angry BUT slapping a girl is just not the way asad's character is shown from d very 1st epi.
this was just not him.
its hard to beleive that this is the same asad who preaches about 'tahzeeb' 'culture' 'tradition' 'respecting women' etc etc
which culture preaches that hitting a woman is OKAY for a man who is in a bad mood????
😒

i also agree with u
but for him zoya is the reason for her mother state
its not his fault
its all zoya's fault i mean she has to understand saving one's living by putting others life in danger is wrong
i thing she deserve one slap sometimes she is too annoying
first asad warn her if she is in touch with mariyum then tell him
beside his warning she still hide that girl n put dilshaad n najma life in danger.i know she helped mariyum but she can tell asad am sure he will help mariyum.but not she use her good for nothing mind.

I agree that somewhere down the line Zoya is in the wrong. She should have listened to Asad or told him right away about Mariam instead of trying to hide her but that still does not mean that Asad can lay his hand on her. Zoya really helped someone in need. Forcing a girl to marry the person who raped her is beyond horrendous. How many of us will tell a girl who has been raped to marry the person who raped her? How many of us wouldn't help a girl in need like Mariam in someway or another? Zoya told her to leave, it was Dilshad who brought her back.

I agree that Asad loves his mom but doesn't mean that you slap a woman. Before Zoya could even say a word he turned around and slapped her. That is disgusting. He could have walked away or refused to talk to her. Above all, what shocks me the most is that Zoya is a guest in his home, not that it would be acceptable for him to slap her if she was his wife.

This is the exact thinking that promotes domestic violence or violence against women in general. We as people justify an act of violence performed by a man. How many times has violence helped to solve a problem.

Asad really needs to watch it and cool down. I was ardent fan of Zoya and Asad as a couple but today I actually sat and thought that Ayaan maybe is better for Zoya. Sure he is a flirt but never saw such disrespect toward women from him. I have seen Asad constantly being sexist in one way or another. A true man does not hit women. Period.

I am not justifying his slap.. but i will justify the slap.. because it was meant to convey that he was a male chauvinistic ***.
asad had asked zoya for confirmation that mariyam had left his house, and she gave it. he had clearly told her the reason he wanted maryam gone, to protect his family. .. and zoya agreed with him.. later, he saw mariyam in the house and his mom shot.. he slapped her for lying to him, breaking his trust... he never considered for a moment that there might be another explanation. that makes him an MCP.

tehzeeb.. yeah right. you do realize that tehzeeb and lihaaz is only for women, right?

Gunman and Zoya are two different sides of a coin. Zoya was trying to unmask the gunman, she did not physically beat him up. If someone were to slap someone or hit them in self-defense I believe it is okay. However, self-defense and the violence that Asad has done are two very different things. If Zoya were to beat up the gunman she would have done so to save herself and those she loves. Asad slapping Zoya will not undo what has happened and neither will it fix the mess that has been created. So that is where the question comes from, why would Asad slap Zoya? Either way he needs to control his anger and respect that fact that the person he is talking to is a woman. Why is it that he hit Zoya? Is it because he feels she is the reason for his mothers condition but how come he did not go to his so called uncle who is firstly trying to get his daughter married to rapist and trying to kill her and also tried to kill Zoya and hit him? Those two girls lives were in danger and Zoya almost died. He should go slap the uncle too! Why is he slapping Zoya? Because he is a girl and doesn't have the same physical strength as him?

I know that we probably won't be able to change each others mind on this subject because it is very sensitive and I have seen so many people go through domestic violence that when I see things like this happening to TV I do react very strongly. I do want to tell you that I respect your opinion but I really beg to differ. I think if someone is wrong you should tell them. If a woman is wrong you tell her and if a man is wrong you tell him. I don't think in order to prove you are right and the other person is wrong you need afflict physical pain upon them. I have noticed from personal experience that actually talking to someone and letting them know what they did is unacceptable helps a person really understand you and what you are saying rather than hitting someone or yelling at them. When you hit or yell at someone all you do is provoke and create more anger. From there on the person is less interested or aware of what he or she did wrong but is more concerned and angry over the fact that you slapped or yelled at them.
