Hear me out:

1. It was Asad who decided that they should hide everything that happened in Mangalpur from Dilshaad and Najma. He thought that he was protecting them from unwarranted tension. Because, you know, women can't handle a little "tension". Knowing how evil his "Mama" is, Asad should've realized that this man can stoop to any level. But he did nothing.

2. After the Mama comes to his house to warn him-- Does he tell Dilshaad what really happend? NO. Does he inform the police? NOOO, he thought he could handle the situation. Very machoistic and incredibly stupid.

3. After seeing Maryam there, and knowing that her life is in danger, does our HERO drop her off personally to make sure that Maryam is safe? NO. Does he ask for police protection for Maryam? NOOO. He gives instructions to his driver! For him, Maryam is not even a cousin (forget about being a rape victim), she is just another "trouble" that he couldn't wait to get rid of.

Had he acted like a man and sought help when needed or treated his mother and Najma as equals instead of acting as their "superior protector", things might have been different.

I see no redemption for Asad's character (and that's really sucks for me as I am a KSG fan!)

Completely agree... he is more to blame for his mother's condition than Zoya...
Also somewhere his hiding the matter makes me think uncomfortably of cowardice rather than prudence... looks like he uses his strength and position on the wrong people

if everybody is ready to play blame game,
i blame Asad for not taking adequate actions to actually protect his family.
i blame Zoya for helping that girl, and hiding her after she had a warning from Asad "not to have any contact with maryam"
n most of all i blame the circumstances, which were molded by the actions of various characters,
and dont get me started on fate n destiny who always has the ace card of inviting trouble, its fate that made dilshad bring maryam back home from the front door.

ok no its isnt Asads fault. It was for sure Zoya's fault that the whole Maryam saga started. Asad is jsut wrong for slapping Zoya. But lets not use that as an excuse to let Zoya off the hook for her poor judgement

I agree with you...Asad was the one who didn't want to tell his mom what happened in Mangalpur
When Zoya mentioned, he just retorted that there is NOTHING to tell, coz NOTHING happened...he had the nerves to say that NOTHING happened
When he saw Mamu in his house, he should have known that that this guy can go to any length to get what he wants...still he prefered not to tell Dilshaad or even go to the police
And when Mamu came to his office, still he did not think about going to the police, coz he thought he could handle these goons all by himself

And now that his mom is shot...he puts the entire blame on Zoya only...wow !!!! that is just great Mr. Asad A. Khan...

Now my question is :
1) what will he do when he discovers that Zoya was not at fault ???
2) what will he do when he discovers that the shooter might not even been sent by Mamu at all ( coz this is still a mystery ) ???

Will he give himself the same tight slap for misunderstanding Zoya again for the umpteenth time ???? Maybe he better slap himself this time...will be a good idea

Zoya on the other hand doesn't go free too...she was wrong in bringing Mariyam into Asad's house without telling him in the first place.
About Zoya being wrong in helping Mariyam...well not entirely, coz acc. to her she was helping a rape victim, she didn't think twice before helping Mariyam and I don't think she is entirely wrong...

Poor judgement would be not having those village goons he calls his family arrested for trying to BURY a woman alive. So lets not let Asad off the hook either.

Zoya exhibited poor-judgement too, I agree, but let's not forget the part Asad himself played in this mess.
