I can't empathize much with this guy, especially after today.

You don't go to college for higher studies. You don't work. You don't contribute around the house. You are not responsible enough to shop for your sister's wedding. You can't see Humaira's pain despite it being as obvious as it is. You can't see your beloved brother's pain and and go on to discuss your dad's relationship which is responsible for Asad's misery. You basically haven't accumulated too many points to your credit. You flirt blatantly with Humaira and despite that you reduce her status to that of a 'friend'. And when no one trusts you, it hurts. I understand the hurt. But have you done anything to make your family feel differently? Being trusted is a privilege that needs to be earned. Sharing a blood line might give you a jump start with having laid the foundation but it still remains in your hands to build the rest. And you throw a fuss about leaving the house, which is again something I can understand because the price you were about to pay for a mistake you did not commit was too huge, too unacceptable. But how exactly would you have supported yourself? What will you eat? Where will you stay? The way things happened, now you can't go anymore. And then you go on to break your mom's promise and go see your brother?! You have no goal in life except to meet Asad bhaijaan, flirt with random girls and prance around during zingo-hotties' sessions. This guy has a heart of gold but at the end of the day, he is myopic, immature and partly selfish.

ps: this is about the character. Not about the actor. Not about the CVs or the PH.

Completely agree.i just mentioned this yesterday..he is just too insensitive, self absorbed and ignorant to the feelings of his loved ones..the fact that he is this blind to Humeira's feelings is just so appalling..And he goes on and on about Asad bhaijaan but the fact that he had the audacity to discuss his ammi and abbu's problems with him and ask for a solution shows his immaturity and total lack of understanding of the prevailing dynamics in their relationship..I was just so glad to hear Asad talk about how much importance his mom holds in his life and the fact that she is his top most priority..Ayaan has his whole family to care about him while Dilshad only has Asad..The fact that Asad pampers him so much also adds to his total lack of responsibility

Completely agree!

And it's a pity everyone around him indulges him... His mom, his sisters, Humeira, even his dear bhai jaan Asad.

If there's one character that has so much scope to evolve, it's Ayaan's! And I hope we get to see that. 😊

Exactly. ] I was happy that Asad told him in no uncertain terms that his mom will always be more important to him than his brother. I just love how this guy is so straightforward.

Exactly. He is over-indulged and has nothing to offer in return except some warm words (but lacking of substance) and hugs.

I'm quite sure we'll see change and growth especially when Zoya gets involved. That's how shows usually are. And I'm sure they've his physical appearance will evolve as he matures up later in the show.

Arre yaar, what are you saying? I LOVE the hair! It' the only sexy thing about him. If it wasn't for the hair, I wouldn't tolerate the character!

But, to each it's own.
