Following Zoya's attempt to reunite Asad and Ayaan, Zoya and Asad actually have a conversation about what happened. Zoya shares her own experiences and how she too is looking for her father. The two form a "connection." Zoya realizes in due course that Asad is not a spy (have not seen today's episode), and of course is furious. Nevertheless, Asad offers to help her find her father. Over time these two form a cordial friendship but there is no love from Asad.
Dilshaad presents a rishta for Asad - the perfect girl for him who comes to the house. Asad likes her and thinks she would make an ideal wife. Zoya is not too keen on her and suspects "something is not quite right." Nevertheless she is who Asad wants. Asad and Zoya have no luck in finding her father and the day comes and her visa is ready for expiration.
Asad realizes her frustration and the chance he has to marry an ideal girl, so at the last minute he decides to make the ultimate sacrifice and marries Zoya so she can stay in the country. Dilshaad and Najma are delighted. Zoya is stunned at Asad's offer and begs that he does not ruin his chances of marriage. Asad tells her that other women will come but she might not have a chance again to find her father.
Zoya is taken back at the idea and at first she refuses. For her marriage is not a matter of convenience but a commitment but for Asad this is a kind gesture on his part to help her. She does not want to ruin his life and she wonders what to do. She does not want to tell the truth to Zeenat or her brother-in-law and like in the beginning of the show she prays to God for guidance and inspiration.
She looks at the family...if she marries Asad she gets a wonderful mother-in-law and sister-in-law, a home that she feels a part of and a man who has constantly stood by her. Granted he's serious and stern, and sometimes he is too old-fashioned but she realizes that he is a good human being and loyal and dedicated...and plus he has that six-pack. Zoya realizes that somewhere deep inside she can love...if she does not already...love Asad and that the idea of him even marrying someone else had been bothering her for a while.
Zoya suddenly realizes she is in love and agrees to the marriage but she cannot admit to Asad or anyone that she really does want to be married to him. The marriage takes place and only Asad and Zoya know it is fake. There begins the comedy of Asad and Zoya pretending to be husband and wife but for Zoya it is real. Neither Asad nor Zoya seem to click at first. She's messy; he's too organized. Zoya tries but since Asad is not committed to the relationship, he doesn't invest in it like her.
They do argue...and then one day the marriage simply falls a part. That is when Asad divorces Zoya who is madly in love with him. A devastated Zoya breaks down and Asad realizes his stupidity and wants to marry her again, but this can only happen if Zoya remarries.
Asad turns to Ayaan and he agrees to marry Zoya with the plan to divorce her. It is upon her marriage to Ayaan that Zoya soon finds out that her father is mamujaan. Mamujaan is delighted to find out who is his true daughter. He thinks Asad married and divorced her to get back at him and embraces her with open arms as Ayaan's new wife.
Ayaan is very hospitable to his new wife (his sister-in-law). However, Humaira and Raaziya are furious and make Zoya's life hell. Shireen hates her and find the whole idea of her marrying two brothers revolting. Zoya's life is a nightmare in the house with Humaira hating her new found sister and blaming her for destroying her chances. Zoya tries to confide in her that the marriage is fake and only there for her to be able to remarry Asad.
While married to Zoya, Ayaan develops a crush on his "new wife" and suddenly finds himself in love with her. He doesn't know who to handle these feelings. What makes matters worse is he confides in Humaira with these feelings who decides to take advantage.
She plants a seed in Najma and Dilshaad's mind that Ayaan and Zoya are in love and want to be together. A regretful Asad suddenly feels betrayed by both Ayaan and Zoya and anger ensues in him towards his brother and ex-wife.
Ayaan awakens from his fantasy of marrying his sister-in-law forever and makes the right choice of divorcing her when the time comes but an angry Asad at first does not want to marry her as he thinks she was intimate with Ayaan when Zoya never so much as hugged him. Asad agrees to marry her with the plan of hurting Zoya thinking she is fickle and never sincere in her love for him.
A broken Zoya delighted to return home realizes she must win Asad's love. A broken Ayaan wants his brother back. An angry father - Mamujaan - vows revenge on Asad and Rashid is determined to reconcile with Asad after what has happened.
It is Nikhat and Nuzat who eventually reveal to Asad that Zoya is pure as the snow and that nothing ever happened to Zoya. Will Asad be convinced and willing to love Zoya again and will Dilshaad embrace Zoya again?
As for Ayaan and Humaira, will Humaira be able to forgive Ayaan for leaving her for one year to be with Zoya?
