I don't like the use of violence in any way..its just too harsh..can't seem to understand where the romance was here..

I know Zoya is a lot to handle but I don't want this to be the pattern of their courtship. When the tables turned today and Zoya was serving Asad, I wanted to enjoy it but I could not because there was an under current of a threat.

Ok, Zoya is not afraid? But she jumps to do Asad's bidding because she is thinking of the gun, not about super spy and finding out his secret. The flashbacks were of a gun.

How would Asad feel if some guy at college was doing that to Najma? You think he would find that romantic or beat the guy to a pulp?

I need romance, an emotional push and shove, not a gun and threats.

As the show is a fiction,I like to watch it that way only without attempting to find much logic in it.
As I said before,Asad likes to avoid physical proximity.He goes for it only when he does not have any other option.The whole neck touching scene was an example when he tried to tease her and frighten her by scaring her that he will harm her.Even Zoya knew that he can nevr do that but still she was scared.And that is why she came up with the whole James Bond imagination for the reason behind Asad's weird behaviour.
He pointed the gun at Zoya so that he can stop that blabber mouth from uttering anything to his mum n sister.He could have cornered her like previous times but then what new would have been there to see.Everytime Asad and Zoya come face to face,we get to see a very new kind of sexual tension between them.Sometimes the intenstity comes in corner wall scenes while sometimes in holding the arms or waist and pulling the girl closer.The gun point scene was quite new in television.Had this scene been a part of movie,I'm sure none of us would have had any problem against it.What Asad did while pointing the gun at Zoya was just a natural reaction.I don't imagine Asad or anyone putting the gun at the table first and then requesting or threatening a girl to keep a secret.
I completely understand your point of view Aditi.When we know that this show is a fiction,I think we should think less about responsibility.The scene could have shown responsibly according to many people by using another physical proximity.I don't have any problems against the physical tension between Zoya and Asad but as far as I've understood Asad,he would try to keep distance from Zoya or any other girl if he has a chance.He simply chose gun instead of getting closer to her...Asad had just one intention in his mind and that was to keep Zoya mum about his secret meetings with Ayaan.He didn't point gun at her with any other intention apart from this.

I didn't get your statement which I've made Bold in black in your reply.When did Asad do anything with an intention that this is what works with the opposite sex.He didn't do that ever.

You don't have to be sorry for disagreeing dear.We all have our own point of view and we can surely have healthy discussions on them.
According to me, the scene was shown perfectly.Asad was simply teasing Zoya and he enjoying to have the upper hand for the first time during all his fights with Zoya...

The teasing part... I'm not so sure Zo got that, but the frightening part yes, that got through to her.

Sexual tension needn't have metaphors of violence... Unless you want to keep it kinky, bondage, S&M and stuff like that. But this is positioned as a family drama I thought.

My point is... He needn't have pointed the gun... Simply holding a weapon like that would psych anyone enough... So pointing wouldn't be needed. I'm not sure that was a natural reaction... Like I said, I'm all for sexual tension, and hot romance, but without neck grabbing, pushing a gun in her face. The gun pointing scene in a film would have been just as bad.

Re. the part highlighted Bold, it's not about what Asad did but about what an impressionable viewer might make of it... As the story progresses.

Yeah!! This is a family show.
So that means all the physical romance should also be kept in limits right?I mean if violence creates a problem then romance should also raise some questions for a family show.
Anyways, we know that today family shows have got a very wide range..So everything is acceptable these days.

What was so violent about pointing the gun?I'm still not able to get this thing.Where did violence come out of the blue? I just don't understand why is the scene interpreted as violent.
Sexual tension in various other forms have already been shown for AsYa and there are many more yet to come.Even in the gun scene, Asad first cornered Zoya against a wall creating the physical proximity and then pointed the gun at his cheek.
I would have found nothing new in the scene if Asad simply asked Zoya to stay quiet or grab her waist and silence her with a glare and a one-liner.
The usage of gun was quite apt as per the situation.By natural reaction,I meant that Zoya found the gun.Asad lifted up the gun from the floor which had already scared and amused Zoe.He simply made the best use of it,cornered Zoya,teased her and frightened her using the same.

Different people have got different psychologies.You are right.The impression of the scene for the viewers might be different from person to person.It might appeal to few people and might make unhappy others.So,I guess you may remain happy with your point of view and I shall keep enjoying this scene where Asad cutely pointed the gun at Zoya's cheeks.That was soo amazing...He could have pointed the gun at her head.That could have been a little violent but he did so on her cheeks.

For me the reaction of Asad was quite realistic.I don't think he should have requested/scared Zoya using any other method in that scene.
You are also not wrong in saying that the scene could have been shown in some other manner[responsible as you say].
I hope we may not get to see such type of controversial scenes in future.
