I think we all Muslims got excited that a Muslim based show was airing and on top Karan was doing it. It was a great combination I really thought this show would be different and actually show the lives of a Muslim household but so far the convos I had with people on IF no one can relate. It's all so over the top.

You know if the storyline was lacking at least the characters could have been strong so we had something to look forward to.

I still can't believe it that Asad did that. I can't take his character serious anymore they just made a joke out of him. First the whole Bollywood hero look and now a hypocrite. Sometimes I feel like I can forgive Zoya because from the beginning she was outspoken BUT never immature.

The whole scene was whack today how Zoya was bossing him around NOT LIKE HER. The fact that Asad agreed I don't know looked so lame on him I know he was trying to prevent her from telling his mom but his character looked pathetic.

I completely agree with you!The scene was funny in a sense but Asad's character did come across as pathetic dancing to the whims and fanicies of Zoya as it's not like Asad to be emotionally blackmailed like that but for him to manhandle Zoya like that and then the death threat...I know this wa supposed to be in a funny light but it didn't come across in that way...everything seemed so out of place and in such distaste...somewhere along the line something seemd to have gone totally wrong and for people supporting this act of Asad's in the name of love or just for the sake of getting an Asya scene is also coming across as a bigger joke and of course everyone's entitled to their own views and opinions but who in real life would really support this?

tbh i really liked that scene, it was funny, i dont really think it was serious from Asads side he was only giving her a threat so she could get scared n stop annoying him or testing his patience and as u said zoyas character shoudnt take this neck thing since shes shown to be strong but i think she knew that it was a threat so she didnt reacted to it...but she might get bck to him for this in the later episodes...
Sure am hoping that Zoya does stand her ground for Asad's actions!

the scene where zoya's irritating asad was very funny, though it got a little overboard with the pizza thing. however, the scene where he pulled her close, was beautiful, and their chemistry and expressions ROCKED. yes, i agree that he should not have held her neck like that, but i think they were trying to show asad's desperation to keep that secret..and yes, maybe they could have found a better way to do that, but i think both zoya and asad, as well as the audience knew that asad would never strangle her, or even hurt her. i think in the maha episode, they tried to show a very good balance of fear, goriness and violence, with ayaan; and balanced it with the cuteness, romance and comedy, with the asya scenes.

i get why some of you are shocked by that scene, but please give the show a chance. it is one of the only few shows on indian TV with an actual script. according to me, they are doing what they started out doing, but their storylines are getting altered due to the audience's likes/dislikes. however, i do hope that they stop adding comedy after every single asya scene. its okay for some..but not all! i want to see the awkwardness on their faces after a romantic scene.

No , I think it was just a serious joke like he knew she wouldn't budge on anything else so he just seriously made it look like a life threat !! But yea it was a bit weird but it was a joke to lead to the bond sequence ... I feel they will bring in the earing thing now so .. Let's wait and watch :) but yeah you're not completely wrong :)

Yes, it did bother me. The problem with a lot of writers of romance is they tend to have this idea that men should man handle women; that's just something that needs to change. Assad can be mad at her but the grabbing of the neck and the threat to kill her was a bit much.

Zoya's reaction though was not one of fear because she knows she is pushing Assad's buttons and from what she has seen of him is he would not hurt her - he'd defended her twice. Thus her reaction is quite well understood and not out of the ordinary.

Nevertheless, I hope we do not have a Assad who forces himself of Zoya at anytime but a Zoya who is throwing herself at Assad trying to get him to notice her.

I dont think there was anything wrong with the scene. If you watch the scene again, you will see a very calm expression on his face. He was neither angry nor threatening. When nothing worked with Zoya, he merely tried to intimidate her .He did not have the slightest intention of hurting her.

Asad's actions were wrong, wrong and wrong.

If he had cornered her like before or threatened not to give her back the earring, fine. But that action was wrong.

Also, considering the violence that Zoya has very recently experienced, what were the writers thinking?

Zoya seems to have 'bounced back' but then we have seen how well Zoya hides her emotions.

I was expecting Zoya's reaction to Asad to be fearful or to show something and then Asad would realize he crossed the line.

I had one more thought to add and I am not sure if I am allowed to say this.

But here goes.

I know Gul Khan is the creative mind behind this show. In her recently cancelled show, the 'hero' was also quite physically abusive with the 'heroine'. I enjoyed Ms. Khan's previous show BUT i never liked what i saw as abusive behavior. I found it quite upsetting and I really hope she does not bring it here esp to the character of Asad.
