Its actually really difficult for some people to understand this fact.

Its not about religion, coz i know some Hindu friends who arent allowed to wear jeans either. Its more about a person/family's viewpoint and the city where they reside. As the show is based in Bhopal, which is a small town, safety is a major issue for girls. And believe it or not, all the bad guys, the gundas and everyone are more inclined towards annoying the girls who wear western clothes. So thats one reason why Asad didnt allow Najma to wear jeans; for her own safety. Thats what brothers are for afterall, to protect their sisters.

Also, he is shown to be strict and orthodox, so obviously he wont allow his younger sister to wear such clothes. But thats the whole point, he'll fall for a girl who is western when he himself is against such views.

And about why Asad didnt wear tradition kurta to the office, well thats coz offices are supposed to have a formal attire, so hence the suit. Plus he obviously doesnt even have any security issues.

I'd say this again!

Its NOT about religion, its more about the culture of the place you live in and how the surroundings affect you. And all Asad was doing was providing safety for his sister. Thats what brothers do; be it in any religion!

@bold. Agreed.

I am a Hindu.. brought up in big city.. with all "modern" trappings.. but I kid you not.

The breakfast conversation between Asad and Nazma.. is on same lines with many-a conversations I have had with my big brother

except... in our home..our converstations would end with..
my brother saying "beta tumne duniya nahin dekhi hai..tum nahin samjhogi' 😆

Its not about relegion at all , its just that the scriptures were written at a different time. The dressing styles were different then

Styles change but values remain the same

we should follow the values of the sacred bopoks not the fashions and dressing styles
