Episode Review - 5th November
Qubool Hai is slowly weaving its story to a high point from where everything about the past and the future to come will be much more clearer than it is at the moment.. And yesterday's episode was one of those. When there is one moment when Rashid takes a step towards bridging the gaps between the families, a hurdle comes in the way to stop him from doing so. There are obviously some negative elements who will always stop the families from coming closer.
One of the main highlights of this show is Zoya's character, which being distinctively different from the other female leads, does not succumb to pressure from the society and its ways if it targets her or for that matter any woman's self respect. I was glad to see the way she reacted to the teasing and how she smartly without any hesitation and fear protected herself even without using any extreme means.
The second meeting of Asad and Zoya was an adorable scene, enjoyable to watch because of the exchange of dialogue and the performance of the leads. As always it shows the difference in both their thoughts. And very amusing how both the times they banged into each other, it was an accident 😆..
One of the most touching aspects of the show has to be the plight of Asad's family. A family of 3 people has seen a lot from he day Rashid heartlessly left them to their state without even looking back, and so your heart goes out to Najma when she is miffed with her brother for giving that man a chance. But even more touching is the understanding Asad has for his mothers emotions, and to the extent he respects her and her decisions. No matter how angry he is with Rashid and no matter whatever holds him back, he cannot deny his mother anything she wants. And that moment between the brother sister was one of my most favorite moments. A usually shy and reserved Asad eases up in front of his sister, and also shows the kind of relation they share. He might be strict, he might be wanting to protect her, but he can do anything to make her smile.
Our country might have progressed in every way, but when it comes to marriages, height, weight, skin color is always a criteria which is demeaning and insulting to the girl bearing it, as if she is not a human being rather an article being sold or bought, its nice to see this issue being touched upon and hoping to see something progressive to be shown regarding it
I usually complain about the addition of the bollywood songs, but yesterday the song was an added bonus I guess and fit the scenario perfectly, the situation very similar to the story of the movie it was taken from, was moving to hear it with the scenes shown alongside.
The precap is very intense, an angry Asad betrayed again, trying to explain to Dilshad how harmful trusting Rashid and that family could be, and a distraught and hurt Ayan overhearing. He is after all the only one that links the two families, the only one out of the families who understands Asad's plight and loves him to no extent. Will be interesting to see what happens hereafter
