The best episode of the week today. It felt complete. Nothing confusing today and no random Bollywood songs playing. A well scripted, well performed and entertaining episode! Wonderful end to the week.

Looking forward to Monday all the more now; the precap was cute. I'm really interested in seeing how Asad-Zoya get on, what kind of scenes they have together... because their ideologies are poles apart! I'm definitely Team Zoya when it comes to how she thinks. Asad's mentality makes me cringe... he's far too regressive, backward in thought. When he told his sister she couldn't wear jeans, all I could wonder was, 'then why aren't you wearing a kurta pajama yourself, mister!' -__- I do hope his character gradually changes his ways of thinking (obviously not now or anytime soon but when his relationship with Zoya begins and develops, which must be a long time off haha but she better bring some sense and ethic to Asad's way of thinking).

Rashid... I don't even know what to say about him. He's the kind of man you'd have fun throwing chappals at in public. It pains me to think of the trouble he put Dilshad, Asad and Najma through. It's unforgivable. Makes for an interesting story though. I look forward to seeing how Rashid's relationship with Asad and Najma develops, if at all. I also wonder if Rashid ever gave Dilshad a divorce? I know in Islam it's allowed to have more than one wife, so I'm assuming there's a chance he's still married to Dilshad, though he did marry Shirin?

Zoya's scene in her house with her (cousin)sister and jeeju was cute. She's such a relatable character. It's refreshing to see an Indian TV heroine be so chilled out and normal. Her little shayari bought a smile to my face! Also loved the water bottles scene. Zoya's such an interesting character; I'm so glad we got to see more of her today, as we didn't see much in the week otherwise. Ayaan and Zoya's interactions seem interesting too.

All in all, like I said, I really enjoyed the episode. It bought a smile to my face and I'll definitely be rewatching it again tonight, before going to bed. I was unsure about the show so far this week, though it's had its moments. However, today's episode has made me far more confident that the makers do know what they're doing and will at least attempt their best to make something good of the story. Here's hoping the show keeps on improving, as it has done with each episode this week.

I have to say today's episode was far better than the last four. And I stand corrected that today when Nagma got actual dialogues I did enjoy her on screen. You know what else was a pleasant surprise? The conversation between Rashid & Shirin. This level of honesty and logic between a mature and slightly immature character was a breath of fresh air. i thought it was important for Rashid to explain to Shirin that he cared about Asad not Dilshad. But at the same time, Ayaan just doesn't fit, I'm sorry, I know his appearance and his dialogues are suppose to cater to the youth but I'm left annoyed every time he is on screen. I loved the absence of all the extras from Ayaan's family from today's episode.

Today's episode is the best from the previous four because it showed how much Rashid really does care about Asad. Otherwise, Rashid would have never hurt anyone if there weren't any conditions that he was probably forced to remarry. Or did Rashid decide to have a second wife? Also, I don't understand why the families are against Asad and Ayaan meeting. If they want to meet, it's their decision after all they brothers even if they are half-brothers. So many questions to be answered I love Asad's bonding with his siblings. Today was him and Najma, and it was funny when he told her that she can eat butter, the calories won't count. LOL! Ayaan and Zoya saw each other, Ayaan wasn't happy because of her Asad had gotten hurt showed that Ayaan can hate anyone if they were the reason for his brother to get hurt even if he liked them. I'm glad that Rashid has decided to go meet Asad because he is his son. Asad has only agreed to meet his dad if that what his mother's wants, and I think that is really sweet. Usually, when kids are mad at their parent's they never want to meet them let alone talk to them. I'm looking forward to the next episode and the Asad and Zoya scene.

Ya Allah...this show! The dialogues are amazing, so much depth in them.
What I like most about QH so far is despite differences between characters there is also respect which was very evident in today's epi. Asad towards his mother, Zoya towards her elderly, Ayaan towards his father, amazingly Rishad towards Shirin and so on.
I like Zoya more and more as days passes by. Thank God a girl who is balanced and not vampy vamp or perfect bahu material. She's real and I feel I can relate to her.

Episodic Review - 2nd November

So far every episode of Qubool Hai has had something new to say and a lot of stories to be revealed. So far some episodes were either disclosing a truth, or revealing the reality of the characters and relations. But yesterday's episode was a step towards the story after the introduction to the base of the story and characters has been done with

It was lovely to see a light moment between the family, between Asad, Dilshad and Najma, after they had a hard time the last day, facing their past and pain. Najma's innocent yet sweet and adorable character was introduced in a nice way. And obviously through her interactions with Asad it was visible how much he adores her and how much she respects him and his every word. You can relate to Asad making Najma eat that calorific food and breaking her diet 😆 that's what our elders to as well. So much a scene from my house.

High light was when Asad reprimanded her for wanting to wear western clothes and going out. Obviously as most of us wouldn't agree with what he said, from his point of view he was not only wanting to abide by her tradition but was also protecting her.

On the contrary at the same time when he is explaining his sister the value of their 'tehzeeb' and how a person's thoughts make them modern and not their clothes, we see a Zoya wearing the same clothes he wouldn't prefer, dancing and playing around in her house. Once again showing the difference between the thoughts of both these leads. It will be amazing to see how these differences are going to be dealt with in the future, when they interact or eventually when they even fall in love.

The scene with Zoya and her Aapi was adorable, and further intrigues us about what Zoya's past is? One thing that I can't forget is how her Aapi says she will not leave her here to stay alone in the Hotels. Which means they'll be returning back to U.S soon, and when Zoya would want to stay back, she won't be left alone, she will probably be forced to get married and settle down if she wants to stay here.

The talk between Ayan and Rashid was another very important moment, because you feel a different feeling apart from anger and disgust for Rashid. At the same time Ayan's respect and admiration for his brother is so touching. He is trying so keenly to bridge the gaps between these families, more for the sake of his elder brother, whom he has seen broken and struggling without a father's hand in their life.

Its hilarious the way every time Ayan and Zoya have been at crossroads Ayan has gotten into some sort of trouble every time. And its great direction the way all three, Asad Zoya and Ayan keep crossing each other and affecting the others lives.

The highlight of the entire episode, or the last 2 of them is the relation that Asad and his Ammi Dilshad share. It is rare to see a man in this day and who is so obedient and respectful to his mother. The scenes yesterday said a lot about the respect and love Asad has for his mother. He was hurt, shaken and absolutely reluctant to meet Rashid but even then he came back to tell her he would do what she says. He has seen her struggle all life, in pain and despair, and he remembers that at every point not wanting to trouble or pain her anymore.
The insight Najma gave about their life all these years again enforces the same and was touching.

The precap looks extremely interesting, so far the two interactions of Asad and Zoya have been wonderful to see, and this one borders on a light moment, can't wait.

Ankuuu your review is always amazing to read!! Very very well written!! <3
I agree with the part where you say that our elders do make us eat calorie food even if don't want to. That happens in practically every house i suppose.
And the tezheeb part of the episode.. It will be sooo wonderful to see the life of Asad and Zoya entwined where both of them have different point of views when it comes to tezheeb.
