I had replied something about the same in another topic..I will copy paste that here:
I feel the lack of chemistry is because there is a rush in the Paya story...I mean there is lack of focus on Paya story...so we are not let to feel their scenes..after the confession there must have been some Paya moments except the hotel scene nothing much happned and the focus shifted to other side story..I wish they had given some more time to Paya scenes or on hindsight I felt was it was a wrong time for confession because the story track presently is not in the most happiest phase so they cannot show them romancing hard ...the CVs could have waited for happy times to come and then confession followed by just Paya moments...there is always a time if you let it go its difficultt to build it up again...They missed the bus as someone else said.
I agree that they do not have a lot of focus in the show atm, but could it be because remember, Pankuri said, she will only focus on her life once she helps fulful the promise she gave to Nana? No one expects her to anymore, but she still wants to, its in her nature to help out. Its also not in their nature to focus on themselves with their family lives are endangered. But I feel that the CVs are trying to give us bits of everything and I commend them for that. They're givings us PaYa scenes as well as another story. This show isn't only about PaYa, but their family as well.
I don't think that CVs are missing the opportunity though. I think they intentionally did it. Remember also, Adi stated that they will takes things slow and let each other familiarize with each other in this new relationship more.
