After a 2 episode long "love declaration" by Aditya and Pankhuri ...I was wondering do people in real life confess love that way? Of course none of us have a script writer to help us and I think we (people from the subcontinent) are shy when it comes to talking about love 😳. Maybe things have changed a lot nowadays. After all we didn't even know about Valentine's Day!

When I realized that the guy who was my closest friend for years was actually in love with me and had a hard time telling me about his feelings, I bailed him out by saying...Don't you dare say " I LAU you" . With a puzzled look he said "who says LAU?" Well his family spoke Urdu & I joked that Urdu speakers can't pronounce V, they say W or AU. To this he said "Well in Bangla there is no V, it's either a B or BH so don't you dare say - "I LUB you" as if I would say that even if I felt Lubh. I feigned anger but we were both relieved that we won't have to do the dreaded confession! We've been together for ages without saying I Lau you once.😛

What was your experience like? Did you have a fancy confession like Adi & Pankhuri? Share some of your Lau confessions...😃

Nothing so dramatic for me Sabi... had an arranged marriage.

While Adi blurting out 'ILU' was ok... the aftermath was terrible I thought... and Pankhu, gosh do people really say 'ILU' after a bhaashan... I quit listening to her..

Shoibs... glad to see you here...LAU part was just to make it silly... but it's true ... they cannot pronounce V... when I first met his family (we weren't married yet) ...the kids (nieces and nephews) were watching a movie... I asked what was the movie... They said in unison "Wolcano"... I was stupefied... what in the world is a Walcano?🤣

That's exactly what I meant... arranged marriage or not... I don't think (in the Indian Subcontinent) people really ever have an all out confession like that... I bet (within your arranged marriage) you fell in love at one point and must've expressed love using some other expression...I was just curious..

I was thinking maybe the new generation is different... the way Adi arranged Kullu scene to express his love (ME- that busted his plans) and then writing on the trees to take her to the set where he finally confessed...all the jewelry gifts (hide & seek game)... so much work...maybe it is done differently in the new generation... you are one of the newer generation...what did you think of all that effort?

What was the Non-dramatic way Shanthi;bataaa naaa? was it "Hum Bhi Apse I love You Dammit"😆

Yes Adi's dialogue was more.. how one might blurt it out... but all his effort scared me... is that normally expected from a guy nowadays?... I am not a from a generation of Valentine's day flowers or chocolates but i see an industry that has developed to cater to these "love confession" / proposal scenarios! or maybe I am just jealous that my life has always been so plain😉..

Runa Laila has a famous song -

" sadher LAU banaila more bairagi "

So that " LAU " has made u "BAIRAGEE".

There was not such a specific point in my life...I realised gradually dat we love each other..But we dont had a confession like PaYa😆...not only us...I thnk even new generation couple also dnt use " I love U " to confess deir love first( I m not sure though..even my friends also say d same...their partners never used " I love U" to confess .)...I find dat very cliched and artificial...Love shud be expressed in a natural way...notatall preplanned... small jestures and expressions says it well than " I love U " I thnk ...

Oh gosh, I wish it was "I love you dammit" - but I have the most unromantic husband ever...😆

I understand what you are saying about the effort.. but I don't think its possible that it happens in real life that.. who has that much time and money???
