Very very valid point Abhi... not really sure... following is just for the sake of an argument...

Harish was shocked to know that Avantika left him on grounds of adultery. It was the first time he heard that. There was no talk about abortion or any link to Preety. Because the allegations were baseless (there simply wasn't any other woman)... he kept mum at that time. Besides Avantika was always insecure about other actresses (remember the scene where he was dropping a co-actor home & Avantika saw them from her car?). Harish didn't want to justify a false allegation.

Now that he knows - it's Preity's Abortion paper that is behind her suspicion ... he has specific reason to keep it a secret. If PaYa were not married it wouldn't have matterd.
