After a long wait, we at Forumtimes managed to contact the creative team of PKYEK-Destroyed for Love, and creative Dishu kindly agreed to sit back for a rendezvous and answer a few queries. Excerpts :
Q1 : So, Dishu. Thank you for taking the time to give us this interview, how has the experience been with the team so far?
Dishu : It has been a mixed bag of good experiences when we had fun planning the episodes, nail biting experiences when deadlines were approaching and some bitter sweet experiences when there were arguments.
Q2 : The recent Holi Special threw up quite a few surprises. How did the track come to be decided?
Dishu : It actually started completely as fun. It was when we were deciding on what Abhay should do in Mount College, as it was not making sense to us that a supernatural king would be attending a regular college, that we came up with the idea of old world hobby classes, which then led to oil painting and the nude painting idea was a joke in the beginning, but then we thought why not use that in a different setting which seem more menacing and terrifying while still reminding us of that demo chaiye wala Abhay(smiles mischieviously)
Q3 : Viewers are curious as to why Abhay's entry in the college was downplayed , while Advik's was highlighted. Would there be a specific reason?
Dishu :We already have had Abhay as the Mount College playboy in the TV series. Besides, like I said, he joined Mount College only to break Pia and not for anything else, so making him the college heart-throb like he was in TV series, wasn't making any sense, as Abhay maintained that kind of image to keep Pia away from him in season 1. But here Abhay has no such intention, so there is no reason why he should show off being the college heart-throb. As for Advik, he is a charmer, and we had to bring out his charm. Besides, he will be in college for much longer durations than Abhay, so his entry was highlighted. and if audience would have noticed, we mentioned that Abhay is shocked to see all his enemies inside Mount College and has decided to keep himself hidden from them till he decides to confront them himself... and hence the downplay.
Q4 : We have noticed that there have been quite a few AbhIya scenes so far, be it in the forest, or in the college.However, has Abhay really seen Piya's face? If yes, then why has he not reacted with shock, seeing as she was his soulmate?
Dishu : I am surprised that we are still being asked this question as we have already mentined it many times that Abhay has completely lost his memory. He does not remember anything at all. Neither Pia not Maithili. He is not the same Abhay anymore but a ruthless vampire who only knows his blood lust and his power lust. nothing else matters to him. he does not remember Pia at all so her face has no meaning for him, but if audience would have read between lines, they would have noticed that though he does not remember her at all, Pia still has managed to affect him in a way noone could in those 70 years. so the soul mate conenction is still there, but for the details as to why and how Abhay became the way he became, audience will have to wait and watch for sometime...
Q5 : What can we expect in the coming episodes with regards to Abhay and Piya?
Dishu : Well lots more fights and hatred games. and I am sorry to disappoint the audience who are expecting them to fall in love immediately, as that is a long distance away.
Q6 : What exactly is the kind of character of Advik Raheja? Is he good, or is he bad?
Dishu : Hmm... I would prefer if audience wait and watch out in this regard. spilling beans about his character would spoil the fun and charm which Advik has to bring in the upcoming episodes.
Q7 : With regards to Alina, as the audience seems to think, will she be paired with Rehan, the new werewolf?
Dishu : Hmm... whats the fun in pairing people of the same species together. it's so predictable and boring (winks)
Q8 : What message would you like to give on behalf of the team to the audience?
Dishu : Please keep showering your love on us and I request the silent members to please comment as it encourages us to keep entertaining you guys.
