Awesome update yaar.. Lovely..!!!
The beginning.. I was wondering whether I missed something in the first chapter.. on reading further I heaved a sigh.. thank god it was a dream.. I loved Abhay's concern and his interpretation of the dream or nightmare as Piya said.. But.. I dunno whether I'm going towards the right direction but I think the dream has something to do with the painting.. (I somehow am not able to remove the painting out of my mind..)
<Abhay had resigned himself to being completely mute when she watched, in order to avoid being hit by a flying slipper, cushion, or anything that was within her reach. So he would often shut himself up in his room and steer well clear of her.>
^^ Me too would do that for PKYEK.. Lol..
<The first time she asked him why he had given her, he'd completely denied it, instead saying that she probably had a bad memory and got it herself, or perhaps one of the servants had a major crush on her.>

<She realized now that he didn't like talking about himself. Whenever she came back from office feeling particularly jaded or angry, somehow he always asked her about her day, gently poking her till she opened up and ranted in great detail about her irritants.>
^^ Awww..
The journey back home.. the hearty conversation.. it made me feel that Abhay has as many secrets as Piya does..
<'So what am I?'
'You?' he said, looking down at her upturned face. 'You are someone who I'm sort of using for a business deal.'
The words hurt more than she would have imagined, and it took all of Piya's guts to look him directly in the eyes and say,'But do you know what you are- to me?'
'Apart from a former enemy, you mean?' he said, opening the lock and ushering her in. They stood in the drawing room, looking at each other. 'Go ahead. What am I?'
Piya turned away. She knew he needed her next words. 'You are someone I used to be jealous of- and someone I have come to care about as a good friend,' she said quietly. 'It's all right if you don't consider me your friend, you know. I still consider you a friend. So you know, next time you believe you aren't worth much to anyone- You are the only person I consider a friend, next to Leena. So remember someone would like you to live, too. Goodnight.'>

^^ Yesss..!!!! Haha.. but as they say.. "Ek Ladka aur Ek Ladki kabhi acchhe dost nahi ho sakte.." Ahaaa..
