CHAPTER 1 PART 1

In a lush green meadow,surrounded by large trees stood an exotic mansion painted all white.The morning sun rays reflected through the window panes giving the mansion a glittering look.a man of abt 26 yrs old was asleep in bed with an open file in his hand.a laptop lay beside him n 2 other files were scattered on the table.with the 1st rays of da morning sun abhay stirred in his sleep.he slowly opened his eyes bt the bright sunlight in his face compelled him 2 close it again.he rose up frm his bed n closed the curtain.

Abhay:"ramesh...!!"
Ramesh:(in a shaky voice)"y..yes sir"

Ramesh stood in the doorway clutching a towel n trembling wid fear.he clearly saw that abhay was afraid n was afraid of loosing job.abhay was that kind of person who couldnt tolerate even a small mistake.

Abhay:"how many times hav i told u nt to leave these curtains open?dont u get it at once.i hav 2 remind u again n again."
Ramesh:"so-sorry sir.i promise it'll nt happen again."
Abhay:"better nt happen again.i sldnt tel u what the consequences wld be.should i?"
Ramesh:"no sir.i understand."
Abhay:"hand me the towel n ya dnt touch ma things.i'll clean my room myself.just inform rakesh to prepare sandwich n milk 4 annie n a cup of coffee 4 me."
Ramesh:"sure sir"

Abhay entered his bathroom for a quick shower.brushing the drops of water frm his wet hair,he stood in the balcony n looked around his house.everything was perfect,the way he wanted it to be bt still it lacked something.it lacked the faminine touch.it has been almost 3 yrs since his father died n he divorced.since then he never let any women enter his life,his house except maya who was annie's nanny.c came everyday early in the morning nd left in the evening b4 dinner as abhay didnt prefer the company of women.

The gentle breeze dried his wet hair n body.he smoothed his bed sheet,placed the file n his laptop in proper place n quickly dressed.he ran downstairs to the dining hall.

Abhay:"ramesh..!!"
Ramesh:"yes sir"
Abhay:"wheres maya n annie?"
Ramesh:"sir maya is nt here yet so annie must be sleeping now"
Abhay:(in angry tone)"these women dey r all same nvr on time."

He slowly entered annie's room.she was sleeping peacefully cuddled in her small barbie princess bed.he sat down beside her n planted a kiss on her rosy cheeks.4 a moment he stared at his daughter nd lightly caressed her hair.bt it was already late so unwillingly he decided to wake her up.

Abhay:(shaking her gently)"annie..annie wake up baby."

annie frowned n whinned on her sleep.she turned 2 the other side of bed clutching her blanket n covering her face.

Abhay:"annie wake up baby.its already 8 o clock.u'll be late 4 skl"
Annie:"(without opening her eyes)ummm...papa let me sleep a lil mole plss"
Abhay:"wake up annie otherwise u'll nt get ur fav chocolate."

annie rose up from her bed rubbing her eyes and pouting her lips.she was still sleepy.

Annie:"plomise papa..u'll giv me chokie right?"
Abhay:"hmm...now wake up"
Annie:"papa.."

Annie stretched both her hands signalling abhay 2 pick her up.abhay smiled n carried his lil princess 2 bathroom.

Annie:"papa where is maya?"
Abhay:"c is nt here yet"

abhay made her brush her teeth.annie swollowed the paste more than brushing her teeth.he washed her face nd made her take her bath wetting himself frm top to bottom.annie enjoyed splashing water.abhay looked at himself n sighed in frustration.annie giggled looking at her father and his water dripping clothes.

Annie:(laughing)"papa u aal all wet"

he saw maya enter the room n sighed wid relief.he was nt good in handling a child.maya looked at him n chuckled.abhay gave her a stern look.she got silenced bt as soon as abhay left the room maya n annie laughed.their giggles filled the room.

Maya bathed annie n dressed her.maya was combing annie's hair nd annie was showering questions at maya.

Annie:"maya y wele u late.papa woke me up 2day"
maya:"ma daughter was sick thats y"
annie:"evely 1 has mom bt y dnt i hav one.do u know whele my mom is?"
Maya:"ur mom is bg so c cant come 2 c u."
annie:"doesnt c love me?"
maya:"c loves u a lot annie."
annie:"wen wil c come then?"
maya:"if u act like a gud gal,eat n sleep on time,read then c wil come soon"
Annie:"really?"
maya:"hmm.."
annie:"wen u meet ma mom tel her i love her n miss her a lot."
maya:"ya i will"

annie was happy hearing it.she smiled n kissed maya's cheeks.
"thank u maya"
maya had tears in her eyes looking at the innocence of annie.abhay heard the whole conversation thru the doorway.it was nt the 1st time he heard it.evryday annie ask the same questions to maya n maya assure her dat her mom wil come soon.abhay clenched his fist.he didnt want dat woman 2 return.he loathed her.after c had left him c never once asked abt annie.he wanted 2 tel annie that c had no mother bt he didnt want 2 spoil her happiness either by saying so to her.

CHAPTER 1 PART 2

The dim early morning light entered through the one and only window.the room was a very small nd dark one,wid 2 small beds,one cupboard,one table wid a lamp on it,two chairs and a part of room was set as a kitchen wid few utensils nd a kerosene stove.two figures lay asleep in each bed covering themselves wid thin blankets.

Piya stirred in her sleep.c was panicking nd frowning.she clenched her fist tightly clutching the bed sheet.her whole body was sweating.she screamed in her dream nd opened her eyes wid a jerk.c was panting heavily.she filled a glass of water nd gulped it down.her hands were trembling fiercely.

Shreesha:"(in a sleepy tone)nt again piya.y do u always scream in ur dream."
Piya:"i m sorry shreesha.you just closed ur eyes to sleep after ur night duty n i disturbed u again.m sorry."

Piya looked up at shreesha bt shreesha was dozing off.she rose up frm her bed nd took a bath.she scanned the room to find it messy,scattered clothes,books,files.she cleaned up the mess,made a cup of coffee and sat down by the window sipping it.

It had already been 2 yrs bt still that dreadful night haunted her dreams.till now she had been able to cover up her trail,she changed her name,her lifestyle,ran away frm that place but still her past followed her in her dreams.everytime she walks on the street,she looks around to check if som1 is watching her,following her coz that night had imprinted a great fear and terror in her heart.though she tried hart to 4get that incident she could never do so.c was still afraid that they might find her.

She finished her coffee and started preparing breakfast 4 shreesha nd herself.shreesha was her room mate who worked in a nightclub.when c was on the run n was desperately seeking 4 a job,c found shreesha 2 yrs ago nd they had been living 2gether since then.though piya was terrified inside,she never let the terror show on her face.she always pretended 2 b cheerful nd reckless like shreesha.

When piya finished her breakfast,she dressed herself,grabbed her handbag n left her room 4 skl.though c had an MBA certificate she never used it.she was afraid of being found out.so she had been hiding her true identity.she had been working as a skl teacher 4 a year.

She hid her face with a shawl,carried her handbag n walked down the street.she sensed som1 following her.she looked back but there was no one.she was terrified nd increased her speed n changed her route time 2 time.finally c reached the skl.she entered the skl gate nd gave out a long sigh.

Someone had been watching her 4 a week,watching her every move bt had nt been able to find her address.she was cleaver enough 2 change routes nd cover her trails.2day also he was nt able 2 find her address and her working place and he was frustrated.he took out his cell and dialled the number.

Man 1:"hello...sir i found som 1 similar to the one u are searching 4."
Man 2:(wid excitement)"are u sure"
Man 1:m nt sure,her hair is different,and even dressing sense is diff bt most of the feature matches."
Man 2:"did u find out everything abt her?"
Man 1:"no sir.c is cleaver.c covers up her trail well.i just find her walking down one street one day and another street the other day.she is cleaver enough not to let anyone find out about her address and working place.
Man 2:"idiot...u cant even do that mch.just bring that girl to me anyone.
Man 1:"yes sir."

the man hung up and returned his place in frustration.
