Some confusions to be cleared out.

I read a lot of criticism regarding Pyar Ki Yeh Ek Kahani being a digusting imitation on the internet. I am personally a very big fan of PKYEK , therefore I could not bare whatever the haters had to say. I do not hold great interest on vampire based stories hence Vampire Diaries never attracted me. I watched a couple of episode of Vampire Diaries today and honestly I believe Vampire Diaries and PKYEK are very different. Here are the differences:
1. In Vampire Diaries, Katherine was the vampire and she turned Stefan and Damon vampires - In PKYEK, Maithili became a vampire after Sid bit her.
2. In Vampire Diaries, Damon is in love with Katherine but Stefan soon realized his feelings were Katherine was not love rather it was compulsion - In PKYEK, Both Sid and Abhay were in love with Maithili and Abhay fell in love with Pia but deep down, he still belongs to Maithili.
3.In VD, soon everyone becomes vampires and supernatural creatures-- but in PKYEK , the human beings remain human and the vampires stay vampires.

I am sure, they are more but I did not complete watching the whole 2 seasons, so ill update more.
In my opinion, Ekta took some ideas from VD, but as stated it NOT entirely copied from VD
